Good game all but I think I've fatigued myself - I'm getting way too annoyed about the relentless red shells in first place and getting coins. Perhaps I had a particularly unlucky run this evening but on that dragon drift way race I had 12 red shells come at me in first (of which 4 hit) and 2 blue shells - just becomes unfun and feels broken tbh :(

Perhaps I should lighten up - and be less terrible :p

Well I'm certainly not going to stop having a tantrum every time I get knocked into fourth and then hit by every red shell in the game!

When you are in the lead it is so easy to stay there compared to getting back up from ~4th. Without blue and red shells whoever luckily gets in first after the first round of items will easily sit there for the whole game.

Not if I can help it, one race I must have fired off about 8 red shells in the space of 1 lap. :p

I've had this happen a few times tonight. Get within touching distance of 1st and then bang, you're getting hit from all angles.
 
First world...er...place problems eh? ;)
I'll gladly swap them for my middle of the pack bombarded / bashed from all angles problems. :)
 
So after last nights communication errors, I had a look at the nintendo site for ports that I could open on the router... Had to laugh when they suggest opening ports 1 through 65535 :p

Yep, it lets you hoover up all the coins with no competition so you get the top speed boost.
and
You only really have to contend with the odd red or blue shell, and red shells can be overcome if you have a banana or green shell to trail behind you.

I'd say I lose first place more by making a silly mistake, than people behind causing me problems.
