*** The Official MK8D Thread ***

I won by one point! There were 36 people and the kids were wrecking the adults.

I gave my 1st place prize to the kid who came second. He fought tooth and nail for that second place.

Make it a Sunday evening thing and I'm there. We played a bit of the old Mario Kart Wii today (online) and some of the custom tracks are just awesome.Would be great to see an update of Koopa cape,Delphino square and N64 bowsers castle again.
Maybe Ninty will release some more classic tracks as dlc for the Switch version.

I'm on now if anyone fancies a race - if you can't get onto the same lobby as me I'll check in here intermittently.

Well done for the tourney!

What are the best times for people to play this? @Raoh said he could change the tournament times if needs be.

6.30 or 7 start would be best for me, maybe for an hour? I like to watch TV to unwind from 8pm onwards? Maybe a morning or early afternoon separate tournament for weekends?

I'm rubbish anyway but I still like to play for fun. That said I did actually come first on an online race the other day by some miracle!

Yes I can update the time if needed.
Forget how long a full 16 race run used to take, but maybe around an hour or so, so an hour and a half(ish) period would probably be best; the key thing is to get everyone who's playing in there just before it's due to start so no one misses any of the early races.
