May the 4th be with youRight its the 4th of May so some big leak has got to happen![]()

If it's clocked at 1200MHZ, then yeah 1070 performance would be realisticSo hype train back on?
What happened to it will be 1070 performance?![]()
Zen/Vega APU would be perfect for a surface type hybrid!now im looking forward to seeing APU with Vega embedded then the actuaRyzl Vega card haha. should make a nice little mini console
wonder if they'll just slap two Vega chips on one PCB board - little and Big Vega![]()
Being negative or positive about AMD doesn't have any effect whatsoever on what AMD actually puts out if we're just talking us regular folks. No amount of praise and positive thinking will make Vega any better than it will be.I don't know tbh Doom because GCN has improved quite a lot since early days and its improved the most with vega ever since it was introduced. Well claiming to AMD. AMD seem to improve stuff better than they do brand new archs. Not saying their new stuff is bad but it's always off to a slow start usually. Ryzen seems good but hit by a bad start but slowly getting there and Zen+ brings more to the table and with a more mature process meaning better clock speeds too. Anyways that's why i'm holding out to see what these improvements bring to the table for Vega. I really want AMD to do well so much. And that's probably why i hate seeing negativity around AMD. We need AMD to get to a better competing podium with nVidia. Otherwise things get stale for us gamers. I think AMD have invested a lot in Ryzen and vega. Even polaris but i think they invested more in ryzen and Vega. So hopefully it pays off, but time will tell i guess.
It better not be for their best oneIf it's clocked at 1200MHZ, then yeah 1070 performance would be realistic

True, up until now we've either had the option of cheap 2c/2t Intel CPUs with half-decent IGPs or 2-module APUs from AMD with better IGPs but lacklustre CPUs performance. The Pentium G4560 is a step in the right direction but an AMD equivalent in that price bracket with a much better IGP will be fantastic, especially if it has 4 real cores.

I doubt it but they seemingly had issues with Polaris clocks and power, and the 580 basically hasn't changed anything despite AMD's claims. 1500Mhz is definitely the intended clock speed but they struggle to get that with the smaller and simpler Polaris chips on the same process. They can do things do boost the clock speed, but that is usually at the cost of IPC but if you get the balance eight then performance is good. This is what Pascal is, lots of optimizations to increase clocks but I some edges cases inductions now take more cycles. It is instructions per second that counts, not IPC or clocks individually. It better not be for their best one![]()
AMD could be working on at least three SKUs based on its upcoming "Vega 10" silicon to make up its Radeon RX Vega series. Leaked 3DMark validations point to a device ID that's third in a series of possible device IDs of graphics cards based on the "Vega 10" silicon, the 687F:C1, 687F:C2, and 687F:C3. All three SKUs feature 8 GB of HBM2 memory, and according to leaked 3DMark TimeSpy scores, the "slowest" SKU is faster than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. The fastest SKU is in the same league as the GTX 1080 Ti.
I'll be the judge of that. 3dmark screenshot that "proves" it, is fakeis in the same league as the GTX 1080 Ti
Doesn't Ryzen actually run cooler? I mean it has that dumb ass 20 C off set but otherwise runs much cooler on all the benchmarks I've seen, if you want warm, run Kabylake with no delidding, that thing will toast your bread faster then any toaster ever made.rumour has it the Apple iphone 8 will use the ryzen APU and will be using the selling point of keeping your man bits warm in the winter if you leave the phone in your pocket![]()
you are the log !Three SKUs being Vega Nano, Vega and Vega X?

I'm not putting much thought in to those leaked benchmarks though, I'm just speculating from Rx580 clocks and Chip size
The worrying thing for me is that with the RX580 AMD and/or GF has shown there is basically zero improvement in the process. Then again, GF even states that the latest 14nmFF+ has improvements in production costs but not in performance. And with the RX580 there eems to be different ASIC qualities with only some chips making the highest speeds which suggests to em there are sitll process problems.IMO GF's process just isn't very good - I was reading up on the technical briefs for some custom FPGAs the other day where the equivalent one produced on GF was a good 20% down on clocks compared to the company making one on Samsung's process - might have just been coincidence but I doubt it.
It's not much but I guess it's better than having this thread derail even more.

It isn't best. Ie Ryzen is not getting to 5GHz on air, and Polaris clocks are nowhere near Pascal. But it is good.GF's process just isn't very good

With your keyboard and mouse in your backpack?I'd like to be able to build a Ryzen and Vega 4 cpu core 8 gpu core APU NUC Machine with 16 gb's of ram and a 1tb M.2 drive, it would be a great little gaming machine to use when out on the road staying in motorway motels or what not.
