Absolute joke of a fight, Chavez Jr looked so ill and he couldn't box,

Oscar de la hoya should be ashamed making them agree to the catch weight.

GGG entered the ring at the end to confirm Canello vs GGG in September

GGG for me easily

Size of him to canello :D

After AJ vs Wlad I can't see anyone else that AJ can't beat now. A fully fit and ready Tyson fury might cause him problems but Parker and Wilder would get dealt with easily I reckon. Hopefully we get Wilder vs Parker with winner to fight AJ with all the belts on the line.

Pathetic fight last night Chavez Jr rode off the name of his old man for years got totally outclassed.

Least one good thing came out of the whole debacle GGG V Alvarez in September. The biggest fight in boxing right now.

Agreed

Total domination from Canelo but that was just the starter......

FINALLY!!! It's on!

Canelo v GGG - 16th September!

I hope Canelo gets smashed to pieces just for the sake of boxing. These catchweights are making a mockery out of the sport.

Tough call, Parker looks bang average but Bellew was getting bested by Haye when his Achilles went and then he had about 5 rounds to put a 1 legged sitting duck away and couldn't really.

Probably Parker on points.

Yeah. Catch weights for super fights can make sense sometimes but his was a Mexican hype fight. Canelo could have beat Chavez at any weight IMO.

I would much rather have seen Golovkin fight Saunders.

Furys past the point of no return. He'll never be back in shape enough to trouble AJ. He will get blasted out. The fury that fought Wlad would have been a good match for AJ, but that Fury has gone forever imo. A shell of a man.

I don't understand this, why does catchweight fights make a mockery of the sport?

Did you see the state of Chavez at the weigh in and did you see the fight?

I believe that if someone wants to challenge a middleweight champion for their middleweight belt, then fight them at middleweight, full stop. Canelo was calling out GGG for years trying to get him at a catchweight. Unfortunately boxing has taken a bad turn in recent years and it's becoming the norm for the 'A-side' to often dictate a weight somewhere in between the actual weight classes and demand that the 'B side' come to that weight.

I dunno what fight most people were watching. All i saw was Kitschko outbox him for several rounds. AJ stood still for mot of the fight not moving around well at all.

AJ went in all guns blazing and landed a heavy punch which put Kitscho to the ground. klitscho then covered up and survived. in the next round it was apparent AJ had spent all the little stamina he had and Klitschko took advantage and knocked him down. Klitscho still looked reasonable fresh at this point and AJ looked as if he had just ran 300 marathons back to back, heavy breathing hands by his sides, no movement. This is why I was shocked by what happened next. A man with klitchko's experience, stamina, energy and now dominance in the fight just stopped punching for 3-4 rounds and let AJ recover. AJ recovered then dealt with Klitschko.

If anything the fight was a fix. It showed how bad AJ is and Klitschko was just in it for 1 last pay off.

I don't know what fight anyone else was watching. I could win against AJ. All I would need to do is move around and defend myself for 8 rounds until he gasses himself out then pick him apart.

lmao - he looks fine to me in those pictures

6 months in a proper training camp with a controlled diet and he would be good to go. it's not as if he has a job to do. his job is to train and box. if my job paid £millions and all i had to do was watch my diet and train. i imagine i could shed a few stones like nobodies business.

Fury will destroy AJ and then it will prove how bad AJ is as Fury isn't even that good. Heavyweight division has been dead since the late 90's.

Does no-one rememebr rounds 6-8 where AJ was basically a walking punch bag and Klitscho for some reason stopped boxing after knocking him down.
