Pretty sure I never saw that in the leave campaign. It was all going to be easy and we were all going to be £350m a week better off.

Well not my fault that's what the leave campaign said. So perhaps show me where they said it was a mountain to climb as claimed?
 
Melenchon would have made a hilarious president. I suspect Le Pen has shot her bolt, but I wonder if the Commie could win next time! :D

It was ONE of the leave campaigns claims. Not all. The "leave campaign" wasn't an all encompassing collection of ideas and opinions.

You must be ecstatic with a record 6000 plus "migrants" rescued from the Med in the last two days.... Whilst the French election and the UK election take centre stage the influx of economic migrants mingled with God knows what other detritus continues not unabated, but at ever increasingly aided levels by those who should be stopping this illegal infiltration of the West. We helped the French beat the Nazis, despite their lackadaisical home efforts, but now it seems they are hell bent in accepting a more insidious invasion. They had a good chance to turn the tide, and they blew it.. How the native folk of Dover feel with Macron in charge of the encampments of Sangatte, Calais, Dunkirk and surrounding regions I shudder to think. The French have shown themselves to be as weak and dithering as the music hall comedians have always painted them.

:rolleyes: It was Vote Leave's main claim, not other leave campaign groups main claim - however some didn't address it properly or quantify it, but some even distanced themselves from it.

It seems that's all people think as the reason why "stupids" voted to leave.
 
ITT, hoping an allied country and our nearest European neighbour fails because their population doesn't feel the same about politics as you.
