@tommybhoy My understanding was that PC gaming outsold consoles and mobiles combined? Has that changed dramatically since this article?
Your post describes your take on sales tactics from Nvidia, but I don't see any specific reason to link that with mining.
AMD can't rely on mining as it can change literally overnight. People who buy 6 cards for a mining rig can be seen selling them off months later when the difficulty has torpedoed any chance they have of making a profit. The current sales figures are a temporary boon for AMD.
AMD lag behind because they can't match Nvidia's Tech, the performance or the marketing. They haven't abandoned gamers for miners, if anything they've abandoned gamers for the CPU market.
Oh, and we'll do the 10. I'm sure of it.
