It means the Tories will end up in a coalition (of chaos ;)) with a party with a very strong vested interest in a smooth and amicable Brexit process. About as good a result as we could have expected tbh.

A coalition isn't a good thing - we need a strong govt with credible majority - the only winners today are the EU.

The next election in a few weeks/months will be interesting.

I'm betting Abbot is gone, and that the Labour Party will finally rally around Corbyn, bringing better talent to the front line. The party's appeal will likely rise.

The Tories will almost certainly lose most of their Scottish seats, most of which were won because a high number of votes were split between the SNP, Labour, and the Lib Dems.

Both Labour and the Tories will have to do some reflecting on how they lost in key strongholds.

The Tories will need to hit back with a new strategy and a more moderate manifesto.

May needs to go. Though I'm not sure who will replace her.

You do realise it was your party leader who called the election? The one with a majority? What planet are you on pal?

Yes to gain a stronger mandate to negotiate with the EU. May damaged things by being too sure of gaining seats and using the opportunity to add a bunch of unpalatable stuff to their manifesto or her party did. So I accept May should have kept this more about Brexit but I stand by having a hung parliament is a bad choice for the electorate to have made, unless you were wanting to run the country into the ground of course.

Depends on calls within her party to step down really.

Yeah, I think the media are obviously screaming blue murder for her to go - Faisal islam on Sky did make an interesting point earlier, in that the tory party tends to be much harsher on it's leaders when they don't deliver - they don't suffer failure very well at all. We'll see how it pans out,

I know that Davis and Boris are the front runners in any leadership contest, but I wouldn't want either of them as PM. Is there any decent moderate conservative currently in the party?

Do you not understand what a hung parliament is?

Do you not understand people have spoken? :D

This is more entertaining than I was expecting. IMO is the best result possible. Politicians will actually have to try and work together rather than doing what they want.
