No I'm not, the EU made it clear we couldn't have single market access without accepting freedom of movement. The public despite that still voted a majority for brexit which was clearly fought on the grounds of regaining control of immigration and not therefore having freedom of movement. It therefore follows if the majority didn't want freedom of movement they were accepting a high probability that we would have to leave the single market to achieve the former. It just shows remainers just can't accept that was the outcome of the referendum.

So why did the Leave campaigners say that a vote for Brexit did not mean leaving the Single Market?

Are you saying Leave voters were too stupid to understand that was a lie?

I hope you don't have an important job with logic like that. At last year’s referendum, voters were only asked one question: should we remain in or leave the European Union?

That's a £250billion (your figure, I've not checked it) for a £250billion asset. No net loss.

It is a loss to the taxpayers, that money will come out of borrowing which will add to the debt and increase interest payments. whats the return on investment? i'm seem to recall it is less than 1:1

She's still going to come out with a strong and stable line to keep brexit moving in her speech later. "Now is not the time" yada yada yada

Still it's better to have an optimistic costed manifesto that people can scrutinize, than a fully uncosted one with the answer "We'll have a consulation on that after the election"..

Your betting the future of a few generations on the back of optimistic promises. I'd rather take the potential 6bil deficit from the torys than passing an ever increasing debt to my children.
Its a shame as i could have got behind Labour if it wasnt for there manifesto based on an idealist wet dream.

and to read the manifestos, learn the personalities and plans of each party, follow the debates etc? or would you rather they all turned out like sheep and ticked for whichever party was pegged to win by "the will of the people" as described by the media.
Your making execuses. You dont need to take a degree to read up the manifestos at the very minimum. would take you an hour of your time if that.

Then you can vote

She's got some nerve going to ask permission to form as-is without an agreement with anyone else. Brazen is the word.

"We ****** up twice but we almost made it, is that enough Ma'am?"

Except the leaders of the Leave campaign kept saying that was Project fear and we could retain single market access and not have FOM and anybody saying otherwise was "Project Fear". in fact one of them said "Only a madman would leave the EU and leave the single market as well"

I will post this again.

Not if you're doing a degree in Klingon or something no, but if you're actually doing a proper worthwhile degree that leads to a decent job it is, you'll be earning many times that a year in no time and have ages to pay it off.

I know we all like to knock these outlier degrees that on the face of it seem pretty pointless, but that does undermine the point of University Education. It's not just about the knowledge you learn - hell a lot of people never use the subject they study - but it teaches critical thinking and shows you have a certain level of intelligence and attainment.

A friend of mine did Quantum Physics at Uni and now works for Virgin, earning well, but will never use Q.Physics again

Lol from the Times
''all elections end with Farage either resigning from or being elected leader of ukip''

I read all of the manifestos. The Labour one wasn't costed. It didn't have any details on where the money was coming from for the re-Nationalisation programmes nor did it have costings for the write off of student debt.
The Rich, obviously.... burn their mansions down, kick them in the head and take all their ****.
Then when they leave the UK, stealth-tax the middle-class as always, I assume.

Marmite on toast seems to make everything feel better again.
That's because you voted Brexit... had you stayed in, we'd have retained trade links to import Vegemite and all would have been even betterer-er...
I assume you're one o' them what has Marmite on crumpets, too?

I'm still waiting to hear the cry's of disgust from Tory supporters saying Corbyn was a terrorist sympathiser about the Tories getting into bed with the DUP so they can have a majority government.

It'll be a long wait.

(my view is sometimes the best course of action for peace is to engage with those who you are at "war" with as has happened in NI. But then again I'm not a hypocrite)
