Yes this is the massive problem with first past the post voting - it doesn't truly represent the voting public - I believe in Australia they just count the total votes - as would make logical sense.

We need to scrap the 1st past system - its wrong.

DUP prop up May until second election, BoJo takes over with lalaland manifesto (people like those it seems) and crushes Corbyn - the consequences of this hung parliament will make people think twice about voting for anyone other than Labour / Torys next time whuich should secure a decent majority.

The only way Labour could win is if they can find a mainstream popular leader - I don't believe Corbyn is genuinely popular I just think he isn't May.

Yet Corbyn was the only person who went on record to say he would reduce low-wage immigration.

Funny, I don't recall him saying that. He spoke about some bit of legislation to stop undercutting which is vague and won't work anyway. He also said that managing immigration isn't a priority for him. I think we'd also see a lot more so-called refugees from the continent admitted to the UK, we'll become more like Sweden and all their problems will be shared with us.

It is, but it serves the parties the best so they wont change it.

Not until she's elected as one she isn't. I believe we could technically appoint her to the House of Lords and she could become Prime Minister, however I don't think that's a good idea.

We had a referendum six years ago on changing FPTP - the people voted to keep it. Like it or not it's here to stay.

I said as much in 2015 - despite very strongly disliking them, it was a horrible reflection of 'democracy' that UKIP got 1 seat with nearly 13% of the vote.

I think in the 2015 election if PR had been used, UKIP would have had something like 28 seats. I know this time they wouldn't but the benefits aren't always positive for PR.

40 years ago we had a referendum to join the EU now we are leaving
