Saw a video on Facebook of a couple of guys who live there and they said a pal in the fire brigade said on one of the floors they were storing the bodies and there was around 150....
Truck load of salt needed
Well this women seems to think there could be a lot more deaths. I suppose the Gov want to break the news as softly as possible

Probably release the figures slowly to minimise the risk of rioting?I just don't see why they'd lie about figures, what are they going to do? get rid of records of people who died and pretend they didn't exist? Even that wouldn't work due to family/friends/neighbours.

Don't they just release the confirmed deaths as bodies are found rather than speculate on the final toll, as everyone else wants to do
As mentioned they slowly increase the numbers as opposed to one lump 200+.
Maybe, I dunno.
I sincerely hope my opinion and cynical thinking is wrong on all counts but I wouldn't be surprised if the number of people lost to this tragedy ends up being much higher than is being reported. It feels to me like there is a strategy at play to drip feed details in effort to quell public emotions and actions.
I also wouldn't be surprised if at some point this gets turned in to a story of sub-letting, benefit fraud, over-crowding, illegal immigrants, anti-social behavior and the under-class designed to outrage middle England. They are probably waiting for anger to subside before releasing the attack dogs of the gutter press!
Hopefully the demographic that might participate in a "day of rage protest" do not watch the BBC, and rather, as the media suggests, use social media;
but just caught the end of BBC1 Panorama, cashing in, cynically, with what appeared to be an unbalanced/non-objective analysis of Grenfell causes.
It seems disrespectful to be producing such programs, and premature, until any preliminary results from public enquiry.
A government announcement of further fund cutting to BBC and re-direction of monies into building standards or activities to avoid Grenfell reccurence seems appropriate.
A lot of chancers jumping on the bandwagon I think with this day of rage. Who's to blame for the lack of sprinkers and lack of fire proof material, not really the Gov, more the local Gov if anything, architects etc.
Despite legal Representatives of victims in similar circumstances suggesting a government lead public enquiry would not serve the victims as well as an inquest, you appear to favour diverting funds away from a media outlet not owned by an immigrant billionaire and allowing the government to lead, is that about right?
