No idea but they must be good enough if miners are setting their sight on to them now! :(

They're excellent for Zcash - like twice as good as any other card (but they cost twice as much, so...). If they're in stock, I can definitely see some more adventurous miners going for them.

£400 for VEGA, i'll just leave this here :p

Gibbo has codes on here for us to bring those down to £300

But yes crazy times!

So when vega gaming comes out and prices don't shift then it is looking very likely that mid vega will be at least £350.....

I'll buy something I need/want if there is undeniable value. Which is partly why I don't own a 1000 series card, I always thought they where over priced.

They are over priced :s I got my 1070 at more then £60 less than current prices and even that was stretching what I felt was value for it.

really? friend needs a budget build so was gonna get him a 580/570 (would 570 be good enough for 1080/60 high/ultra?)

hmm tell me more of this zcash, could my 1080ti/titan Xp be earning me some side cash?

I can give a thumbs up for the 470. It better than you'd think but at these prices it's not the bargain it was.
The 1080ti is excellent at Zcash.

Just to be pedantic for a moment, the absolute fastest card for mining ZCash is actually the Radeon Pro Duo - they do 900H/sec, and can hit 1000H/sec when overclocked. The cost is hilarious, of course, but the performance and compute density is amazing. There's a guy on YouTube who built a system with three custom-waterblocked Pro Duos for running Boinc. That thing would be able to push over 3000H/sec quite easily.

imo moving forward with PC games, I wouldn't want anything less powerful than a 580 for 1080P high 60 fps gaming, 670 ok for now but in a year.... probably not.

seen that, never heard of powercolour before?

are they generally reliable? it's kinda important because my friend isn't tech savvy so just want a card I can put in and is going to work for the next 2 years or so hassle free

how much is that in the queens currency? like per day/month?

Who cares about advertising.

AMD advertised bulldozer as if it was good :p

I think the general rule is the more hype and marketing you have to have the worse the product. E.G., Nvidia's FX5800Ultra was marketed like the second coming of Christ, similar with NVidia Fermi, AMD 2900XT and FuryX. Maxwell, Pascal etc were pretty subdued.

I should have clarified single gpu card :P
