Year old video, but so so good. I especially love how they show the rattly sounds all the components of the 911R make.
Quite bummed I'll likely never ever see one on the roads given the numbers and value of them now (£400k!)
Never really been a modern Porsche fan, although I do appreciate them for sticking true to a number of things, such as the body design philosophy, and engineering feats across the model range, but this one just sounds so good on video, and looks it without all the vents and wings guff of the RS.
Is there any better a drivers' car than this that only a handful of people will ever be able to drive?!
I am hoping the 911 bubble is close to bursting soon. Prices are dropping, loads of cars hanging around not moving, market has new clothes to wear so old clothes go to us, the poor....hopefully.
Not quite the same though is it, sure it has the same manual 6 speed box and engine, but it doesn't have the sound proofing removed, or all those "honest" noises that make the R what it is. Obviously it's the only choice if you wanted a taste of the R, but can't get one now, and didn't pre-order one, and don't want the "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" RS package
The first time I'd ever buy a convertible over the coupe option:
Gotta say these guys are so innovative its amazing, they really have built a supercar that has Lotus like handling, insane performance, looks completely unique and does not sound too bad, though I've heard much better V8's.
Love how you can just wind the back window down and how it just looks like the coupe with roof up. AMAZING!
Sports exhaust is an expensive option and adds a bit of weight to the sound. Track pack is the option to have on the 570S but then it's a 16k option, though nearly half the price of the sum of parts bought individually.
