Good lease deals on less than great cars

Anyone seen any reasonable deals on a petrol tiguan?

The bargain offers on the Tiguan have long finished but there are some still fairly good deals:

https://www.contractcars.com/car-leasing/deal/volkswagen-tiguan-leasing-deals?personal
- Works out to an average of £288 per month or £6,920 over 2 years. If you go direct to VW you can probably avoid the £600 admin fee also

https://centralukvehicleleasing.co....tsi-bmt-125-se-nav-5dr_VWTI14SN25EPTM~~2.htm/
- Works out to an average of £251 per month or £6,320 over 2 years. Note it's only 5k miles and VW contract hires are usually 6p+vat or 7.2p+vat per mile so if you do 10k miles it's still slightly cheaper than the first one (£6,750 v £6,920)

Interesting they look a lot better than the ones I found

Just deciding whether to lease or PCP for one

im looking at getting a Tiguan soon too - looks great and i think ill go for the 150bhp TSI Se Nav too - looks to have all the options you need. I would look to spec leather though if i could plus the digital displays instead of analogue ones.

The R-Line looks sweet and i really like it in black - circa £300 a month gets you one at the moment with 10k miles.

Wouldnt touch a diesel anymore as ill be driving in London mostly and the mayor is about to take a large dump on diesel drivers.

im looking at 3 series tourers now - cant find anything around £300 for a decent petrol variant though :(

This is textbook 'How not to do leasing'. If you go in search of a specific car, you will pay a fortune for it. The way to do it is to pick up the bargain ones as they appear which means not being car fussy.

If you know what you want you are better off buying it.

thats good advice thank you

I'm going to get bummed when I hand my Polo Supercar back because I will be maybe 4K over the mileage limit. I might have to bankrupt myself to afford the 120 quid it's going to cost me. :D Read it and weep you 6p'ers

so im guessing that going over the milleage limit is hardly the end ofthe world?

Depends on the charge per mile for exceeding

Typically though, unless you're going to say double the mileage you aren't going to be hit with a huge bill

5k extra miles at 6ppm for example wouldn't breakthe bank

Not usually a problem, and it's even less of an issue as some companies contact you halfway through the lease to check your mileage and offer you an increased allowance at a reduced price.

Only recent exception was the really cheap Volvo S/V 90 deals that had a 40ppm excess mileage charge!!
