My PC is fairly old. Abit IP35 Pro, E8400 cpu.
The HDDs are getting really noisey, takes forever for it to.process a folder if you change the 'sort by' setting.

Wondering if I'm limited to what drives i can get due to the old mobo?

I'd get an SSD for the main drive and a larger storage drive

If I copied the data on my current storage drive to a new one would that likely solve the problem I mention when trying to sort by date/name etc?

Checked the SMART data?
But a new drive would be better/safer/quieter
Def get a Sec for the boot drive though
Would be limited to sata2

All the health status things say OK - not tried any of the apps yet...

I haven't got anything to back up to....should maybe get an external drive for that..

If your files are important then you should have a backup of some sort.either to the cloud and/ or an external HDD
