Well my house is like piccadilly circus, someones always in and peeps are always ordering stuff (me included :E) never any problems with deliveries really, no idea you could have all this info on dpd, it looks a very cool app

well if we are talking about the stoke and surrounding areas it's because they are getting in agency drivers who are are literally sent out with 50-80 drops on the 1st day of work without even been show how to use the Saturn hand held device.

Needless to say they barely last a week so rinse repeat every week you can see why there is a drop in service.

Also someone said about the guy drove past and came back later. The Saturn hand held device thing you sign when they deliver, locks the driver out until the start of the 1 hour delivery window. It's ok deliver 3 hours late but 1 minute early is just not on lol.

Its not a penalty, the device simply wont let you deliver and take a signature for the delivery until its within the time window

Yup this is the way I'm doing everything now. Don't deliver to my house, deliver to a collection point. No dramas.

This whole thing about not being allowed to deliver early just strikes me as completely retarded. Something some manager along the line decided was a great idea, and once management think they know best, that's it

This will be a bespoke application (source, while not dpd I do work in logistics), and will be exactly what's been asked for.

An early delivery can be just as bad as a late one, it's still failed it's service.

@Woden How can an early delivery be failed. I've had early deliveries and thanked the drivers... Even some that were a day earlier.
