Did DPD send the driver back in the end? To be honest this sort of behaviour is quite frankly unacceptable and DPD (and other couriers) should discipline any drivers who act in this manner as not only is it damaging to their brand but also has the potential to causes others major inconvenience.
At the end of the day you paid for a service, albeit by proxy through doing business with the retailer who has a contract with the courier. Sometimes this is 'free' and included in the cost of the product you have bought or it may be a premium added payment where you have paid for faster or a time specific delivery but you have still at some point paid for this service.
It's one thing for a delivery to be missed for genuine reasons, and maybe this is the case in this situation, but this sort of behavior is pretty dishonest and in any other line of work would be tantamount to gross misconduct in certain situations. I personally wouldn't let it drop until I had a reason as to why he acted this way as from initial impressions it looks like this driver could have integrity issues and if that is proven DPD would be better off without him.
I would suggest it's entirely improper to be making those kinds of comments considering the person in question picture is linked in this thread.
If the OP has a problem he is more than capable of ringing the CS department at DPD and they can look into the issue for him.
It was unfair of the OP to put a picture of the driver on here in the first place to be honest, also not the best idea to put a map with your house for everyone on the internet to see.
And I would suggest you go back and re-read my comments, notably the reference to the possibility of there being a genuine reason for this and the use of 'could have'. I am still entitled to my opinion based on the observations made and the history of this type of behavior well known with couriers.
So get off ye high horse.![]()

If people understand OCuk don't have any power over this and they dispatched on time, why do you think it reflects badly on them when they did all they could
Sometimes i just cant understand GD

Either way I called OCUK who tried to have him come back today but he was unable. OCUK customer service is exemplary as always.
Behaviour like this does not only reflect on DPD but on OCUK as a company.
I just find it odd that some people dont seem to separate the retailer from the delivery company.
But what happens when DPD do a **** job? It happens so often, and the same with deliveries from Amazon. "You weren't in." Yes I was, I sat at home all day and you owe me part of my life back!
The drivers should very much be disciplined.
