If AMD were the underdog, as in did not have the best GPU perf, but still had good perf/watt and perf/$, that's worth supporting.

When they've got horrific perf/watt and worse perf/$ than the opposition, then they've got worse tech, period. I can't support a company that is making bad (inefficient/pricey) tech, underdog or not.

It's why I would never consider buying a Bulldozer CPU, even if AMD were going bankrupt. Buy good tech; support the underdog if you can but not at the cost of forcing yourself to buy bad tech.
Yeah it's not a bad thing, I'm over the moon to be recommending a ryzen 1700 build at moment, I don't expect vega to be twice as fast as a 1080ti, I just want competition and thus more choice and lower prices, then everyone wins :)

First pic of MSI Radeon RX Vega 64 reference card leaked with final base clock 1247MHz and 1546MHz boost clock.

Slower than Frontier Edition's base clock 1440MHz and 1600MHz boost clock, it probably as fast as GTX 1070 OC to stock GTX 1080 in games performance.

Just doesn't make sense, Raja literally said wait for RX Vega for gaming because it would be cheaper and faster... How can that be so if it's clocked so much lower...
