So I'm a bit confused about the AIO version. Will they be available to buy on their own, as I keep seeing them being a bundle exclusive, and the bundle doesn't look like it will be available in Europe.

I mean it's a great idea and all, but I already own a pretty decent freesync 1440p 144Hz monitor and have no intention of upgrading, neither do I want to replace my 5820k yet, so it's pretty bad for me.

I just want a fury-x replacement, including AIO and, having the direct replacement being packaged up with a load of vouchers I don't want or need is pretty infuriating.

Yes there will be AIO version. Asus have already announced their AIO version.

The bundle is available in the EU just that you can't get the 200$ rebate, just the 100$ rebate on the ryzen R7 (x)+MB and 2 games
The bundles are apparently for a limited time only, after the bundle offer ends I don't know if the AIO will be priced at 100$ less (it doesn't look like it will be, but maybe)

So is they any chance we will see RX VEGA AIO without the Package? If they drop some of that package deals and drop the price somewhat.

The reasons for these package deals is Vega chip that can run at those speeds will be rare as rocking horse poop. That is why AMD are charging these prices and using bundles, they simply don't want the demand to be that high because they can't supply so instead are controlling demand and maximizing profit. HBM2 availability is probably also a likely cause of short supply.

I thought gameworks has died off now since it pretty much got bad press/response everywhere
Doubt it. I posted video yesterday for those two games. Both Nvidia sponsored interviews with Devs. So I took that as indication they are Gameworks. Plus they where last time round.

Gameworks has died off in the sense that developers even Ubi tend to use some of it but not the crap that was hampering AMD performance and being buggy for both sets of vendors.

Most gameworks titles while still favouring NV now tend to run pretty well on AMD.

I think developers just got fed up of all the patches and work that comes with Gameworks.

I wouldn't count out Nvidia coming with more effects that hamper AMD but for now most games that come with an Nvidia stamp seem to be doing better all round.

No i don't think they will be. The air cooled FE could run high clocks with a fan boost and altered settings that held the clocks. Good air cooled cards shouldn't have a problem.

If Nvidia are feeling generous, considering how they segmented off FP16 to their expensive compute card.

At the time FP16 would have no real advantage for fast FP16. If game developers start adding support then there is more incentive for Nvidia to spend transistors on it.
The other thing is Fp16 can only be used under some very specific scenarios and so requires a lot more care from the developer. remember, the very first programmable shader hardware had a requirement of FP24 support minimum form the DX specs, and this was quickly bumped to Fp32 as hardware improved, so it is quite ironic that 10 years later some hardware lets you use a lower bit depth. Half-precision is much more important to deep-learning than it is to gaming

That's the only good thing that they have done good learnt from previous launches (Fiji), allowing AIBs to release a custom flagship GPU.

How do you come to that conclusion? Other sites have said one of the points of these bundles is to try and deter miners, but of course you have an alternate theory that as usual is on the negative side. Gamers nexus got their air cooled vega with the aio mod up to around 1700mhz, so it might not be as rare as you seem to think.

Yeah a lot of people are hyping the 2xFP16 in games, but really we have no idea how much of a gain it will really give, when it can be used, under which conditions etc etc...

Glad I ordered one a few weeks ago when they were going real cheap on another retailer.

Should tide me over nicely until Volta which i expect it will be out in March next year.
I nearly grabbed one cheap also from the same place. But did not fancy a 3rd Pascal card. Now looks like I will be left waiting for Volta as AMD over priced Vega.
