For Cry 5 and Wolfenstein 2 Both going to use FP16 on RX Vega
So is VEGA truly depending on Devs to get the best out of the GPU otherwise you really just have an overclocked FuryX with the features disabled?
AMD released A Game Profiler with Driver 17.7.2 to give the game developers direct access to the full GPU so hopefully these Features that require dev teams to use will be taken onboard and not forgotten about Lol

He mentions a 15% performance boost. That's great, although not 1080Ti levels yet.

Also idTech are amazing at optimisation and taking full advantage of GPUs as seen with DOOM. I doubt too many will take advantage of it all and put in the effort.

I'd be surprised if Ubisoft puts in much effort really; they rarely do.

Any optimization that helps AMD usually also helps Nvidia. They use open source implementations so Nvidia can benefit too. Not always the case the other way round.

FP16 won't as NVIDIA's consumer cards do not have double rate FP16.

Only Pascal card that has FP32 Cores that support 2xFP16 is GP100.

Agreed! and its one of meny reasons I support AMD!
Think to yourself right now, how meny titles with Nvidia on the box has released with shocking performance and had bad reviews i'll give you one BatMan! Now think how meny with AMD on the box? I cant think of any Lool but what I do know is they some of the best known PC title for performance Alien Isolation for example.

AMD care about the PC platform and they get my money, Nvidia care about making money! not a bad thing they a omplany at the end of the day but that also takes a hit on the PC gaming platform.

I like AMD a lot, I'm invested in them. Sadly Vega just isn't good enough for me and my needs. Hopefully Navi will be. I have no issue spending good money on a good product.

I want to know the minimum frame rates for vega....

So I'm a bit confused about the AIO version. Will they be available to buy on their own, as I keep seeing them being a bundle exclusive, and the bundle doesn't look like it will be available in Europe.

I mean it's a great idea and all, but I already own a pretty decent freesync 1440p 144Hz monitor and have no intention of upgrading, neither do I want to replace my 5820k yet, so it's pretty bad for me.

I just want a fury-x replacement, including AIO and, having the direct replacement being packaged up with a load of vouchers I don't want or need is pretty infuriating.

I dont think any pr helps NVidia sell cards better than AMD relases. Like for real everyone waits what yhey got they got average product people buy nv next day after presentation.


I was planing to spend 600quid max but what amd shown made me spend 750 lol....

Btw. Ill sell mt hybrid ti off soon for 250 on ebay or mm. Still on warranty haha.

That's odd. It runs super smooth on my RX480 8gb.
Perhaps try it again if drivers have changed since then.

It was great on my Fury too, It's a shame the 580's are so unavailable and overpriced, I'd of preffered one of those to this.
