I have 2 of them, one as a general drive on my desktop 2tb used for captured video and other general stuff. basically a trash/temp drive, it improves data access times but its not a big improvement for the most part.
The other is on my xbox one as external USB attached storage, that does make a big difference, game loading times are faster, its not SSD fast but its not that much slower and as Xbox games are getting very big it was a sensible middle ground.
I think they are ok but horses for courses, i would rather have an OS on a small SSD than a large SSHD but i would take an SSHD over a normal HD anytime.
£/tb is what it comes down to and you aint getting a 2tb SSD for £85 any time soon, and if your working with 4k video or stupidly large files it does its job.
