FIFA 18

I miss the daily/weekly challenges from a couple of games back.

Jump in and play a portion of the match from the previous weekend replicating one team being 2-0 down or whatever situation, they didn't always focus on Premier League either so I'd experience other teams I wouldn't usually play as.

Think I must be the only one who played it.
I enjoyed that too was fun for quick game play too. I wish it would return, no reason it can't either

Pleased to see Legends (Icons) are now available on all platforms, think the idea of 3 cards over their career is nice as well, I really want to use that Maradona card man!

this might be the first year i try FUT. Literally never bothered before. But how easy, really, is it to get into without having to spend money on packs?

I've not paid in apart from buying the ultimate edition this year . I do alright in the weekend leagues , Having a decent team helps but if you have some serious skill you can do well with a fairly average side

I cant help but feel they lose a lot of money this year especially towards the latter half of 17 due to the rewards enabling people to compete without spending. Hope they make the rewards structure better and more fair as opposed to worse to grab more money.

I'm swapping over to ps4 for this year's fifa, always played it on Xbox, I'm assuming plays same I just prefer the pad overall which is main reason I'm swapping.

it's fairly easy if it's the only game you play. basically time is what it takes. you may find it easier to just spend £20 at the start to get you set up for the rest of the game.

i never buy packs and my strategy has always been this.

build 2 completely different teams and rotate them - this means you never need to buy fitness cards. so cheap leagues to start off with are usually ligue 1 and serie A or national teams like france, brazil, italy or spain. you can have 1 of both so a ligue 1 team and a italian team for instance and rotate them every game with the other team being on the bench so they are rested.

buy non rare gold players rated 75-77 for 250-300 coins each max, don't spend more than 300 coins on a player and try and bid on them for 250 as soon as they are put up and just wait an hour for them to come through. use them until their contracts have been used up then discard them for 250 coins, this means you got to use a player for 7 games for zero coins or 50 coins max. no point in buying contract cards at this point. as you can then just buy the same player again for 250-300 coins. once you have about 20k coins saved up you then want to think about getting 5-6 budget superstars to add to your teams. limit yourself to say 3k max on a single player and slowly start to buy decent players for every position. this may take you a month or two to get a 2 teams with around 3k on each position. some positions you never need to spend more than 600 coins. e.g. there was a left back in the Portuguese league who was non rare 77 rated and was the best LB in the league. so the best player for that position was only 450 coins.

once you have 2 decent teams from cheap leagues you can use them to compete. then win enough coins to then start building other teams you may want. you can then sell them up or keep them for future use. sometimes i used to have like 6-8 teams all with the best budget players from their leagues. i've beaten teams worth 2 million coins with a squad worth 20k coins. being cheap doesn't mean they are rubbish check out their stats on the web.
