Summer Transfer Window 2017/18 - Rumours & Signings

Again cm, I've not disputed that Coutinho would like to join Barca. I don't believe he'd do anything drastic to push a move through though and I don't understand how the world cup coming would make it more likely, as you claimed.

Are you serious? Rakitic and Iniesta would be in front of him all day long. Rakitic is like Barcas Modric.
Yeah, of course i'm serious. He'd score and assist more in that Barca side than those 2 currently do, Coutinho is slightly limited due being at Liverpool and in a more competitive league, it would be a breeze at Barca in comparison to here.

well, i've given a couple of examples. it's not my fault you refuse to buy into it

Where have you given examples as to why the world cup would be a factor in his decision to push for a move?

He's saying because he'd be less likely to be injured, which, i can see what he's saying. Whether it's as a bigger factor as he thinks is another question, only Coutinho could really answer that, the logic is there though

Well...Neymar gone through then. Utterly, utterly, utterly, utterly..and I cannot stress this enough, utterly ludicrous amount of money for a footballer.

Unless I'm mistaken, Suarez didn't missed a single game for Liverpool through injury but has missed 3 games for Barca. You're clearly more likely to get injured playing for Barca than Liverpool :p

lol...fair enough. I don't think its a big factor personally, Coutinho is already the star of the Brazil side, him and Neymar. I don't know tbh

I think you were giving cm a bit too much credit anyway. I don't think his Adam comment had anything to do with missing the world cup through injury, it was just a general rant over Adam's history of injuring Spurs players.

Why would you want a move to Barcelona when you can play at Anfield?
Lol

But Neymar?? Ermm wow just wow, football has officially gone bonkers. Earlier this summer City paid £50mill for Walker:p then Utd decided to ***** £90 mill on Lukaku. And now Barca sell PSG Neymar for almost £200mill:eek:

Geezus ******* Christ absolutely crazy lol.

Will he win the CL with PSG?? Not sure if they will but then he wasn't winning it with Barca either. But he will win the poor ligue 1 title for sure:p

So long gone are those days when you can bargain basement players for cheap prices.

Oh well Wenger better start spending more money in the next few yrs lol.

Utd decided to ***** £90 mill on Lukaku.

We paid £75m for the second top scorer in the PL last season who is a proven PL goal scorer. Did you forget about Arsenal spending £46m on a striker who isn't as good as Lukaku, is 2 years older and the jury is out on whether he will adapt to the PL. I know which one I would rather have.

I'd take the risk

In one sense it could be said to be £85m including the loss of the £10m fee for paying off Rooney, but even then imo its worth it given his familiarity with the EPL.

In one sense I still regret RM playing such hard ball over Morata - his European experience would have been exceptionally helpful, but ce la vie.

Would take Lukaku over Lacezette any day.

In another sense it could be said to be £65m given we got rid of Rooney too.

That is the definition of priceless. Getting rid of him would have been good enough for me but also getting rid of his massively massively ridiculous wages is almost as important. I imagine that Rooneys wages have paid for the wages of all three of our signings easily. ******* David Moyes.

I thought it was £75m rising to £90m + the pay off to Rooney? That's certainly what Everton were saying and how they justified calling it a £100m deal.
