Did they really service my car?

Why on earth do you have a dag dag for that mileage?

Because I was expecting to do a much higher mileage when I bought it.

If the engine needs to go through a regen cycle I doubt it's doing it effectively, never mind actually doing it. I foresee DPF issues in your future and a major bill for the replacement.

It gets a good workout at least once a week.

Start a thread asking about if you're car has been serviced/had an MOT and end up having to explain your justification for owning a diesel car.

Well he seems to have ignored the number of posts suggesting he has a look at the filters to verify if they've been changed.

So people may as well move the thread onto other topics.

Not sure if OP is looking for proof of work not done to wave in their faces and have a shout, or if he expects a service to include tidying car up and making him a quiche...

I've never heard of them checking the spare tyre tread before.
It is actually an MoT thing, at least at my local place - tread on all tyres, including spare. However, I think it only applies if you have a spare in the car - Not sure if this is different if your car comes with a spare but you don't have it in the vehicle at the time, either.

A test on just in case ?

There is no reason at all that they would need to touch anything in the boot or adjust your mirrors to do the test and service.

Part of the MOT they would need to check floor pan for corrosion (newish car highly unlucky but never know :p) and spare wheel (if fitted) needs to be legal.

Depending on the service (minor or major), i would expect the spare wheel checked for condition and advise on replacement (if needed).

They don't even check the floor pan if there are undertrays in the way. Most are lazy and just put it as an advisory :/

I'm not sure if they're actually allowed to remove them. As you say, you just end up with a list of advisories saying such and such was in the way.

My brother had a VW main dealer fail to service his Golf. They eventually admitted they didnt do it, and effectively gave him the service for free.
