Couldnt be more smug about the coutinho situation

I posted last week saying he will go liverpool fans on here were saying he wont go this window etc

Now official transfer request goes in

Matter of time now :D
 
If true then least he has in a way made a statement. Him doing that I have no beef over lest it signals he wants the move, him being quite through out it all made it more annoying.

Now again if true, I'd rather players do that it's official it makes it easier. Instead of the whole silence bs etc
 
I mean if he wants to go he's entitled to, nothing against him.

Still a matter of getting a decent fee for him, considering Barca as per usual are getting on like a gang of dickheads
 
Still doesn't mean thy have to sell him, just means he forfeits any bonus he would've got, also as mentioned before it isn't the end of the world if they did sell him not sure why the fans are getting all bent out of shape.
 
I don't think Sky would make that up, as they'd look stupid. Either way it's easy for the player to come out and say something himself.

They make a load of stuff up...it wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong.

Id trust the LFC journos such as Pearce and Reddy over that lot.

As would I, but the LFC journalists are only repeating what the club have told them.

It will be interesting to see what happens now.
 
It's still Liverpool's decision whether or not they sell him, which means that Barca still have to stump up whatever Liverpool value him at... The transfer request doesn't really affect anything aside from, possibly, that he won't get paid out of his contract

But to come out with such a bold story literally 2 hours after Liverpool released a statement saying he won't be sold under any circumstances is a bit odd. You wonder what may be brewing behind the scenes and what Coutinho really wants.
 
I go out for an hour and come back to see Coutinho may or may not have handed a transfer request in. Ultimately it's neither here nor there, I don't think anybody thought he wouldn't want to join Barca and knowing this both Klopp and the owners have made it clear that they won't sell him for any price. Now obviously that could just be a bargaining position but I strongly suspect it isn't.

And surely Liverpool have a better idea whether a transfer request has gone in than SSN? Liverpool would look even more stupid than Sky if they're claiming he hasn't if it turns out he has.

Perfect opportunity for sensationalist stories, they will be loving the publicity. I don't believe a word Sky say, haven't done for years look at how excited they get for transfer deadline day, they love the rumours.

It's possible that somebody has told Sky that he will hand a transfer request in but Sky have jumped the gun and that he hasn't actually done so yet.

What's my stance? All I've ever said is that I don't believe there's any possibility of Coutinho leaving unless a mega offer comes in. I've never said Coutinho wouldn't want to join Barca, I've said the opposite in fact but that I don't think it will change anything from Liverpool's point of view.
