If the new one does not include Touch ID I won't get it no matter how nice the phone looks.
It's looking beautiful, as always. But if that rumour of $1200 is true, for the base model, then I'll have to rethink.
I could just about stomach £1000 but beyond that is a hard sell
You think they'd ditch this? It's one of the best things about the phone.
Anyway, I rather like the new design:

The SE already has 6s gutsI reckon they will have it as a halo product.
iPhone 8 (or whatever they choose to call it) @ £1000+
iPhone 7S @ normal iPhone prices
iPhone SE (updated with 6S or 7 guts) @ current SE prices.
what's this 'they're going to remove touch id' nonsense? Where's that coming from? i can't imagine for a second that apple are going to regress to the pre iphone 5s days of forcing people to enter a passcode every time. It's not going to happen...no way. Even if it's not touch id specifically, surely...surely apple won't force a 6 digit unlock pin every time on such a premium flagship piece of kit!

That does look nice indeed, but once again, another bevel-less phone, form over function. I personally find bezel-less phones (I am an S7E owner) an absolute pain in the arse to use, accidental touches are still a problem and they are difficult to hold and use unless you have claw hands. A bit of bezel is necessary for good ergonomics.
