Barcelona's Tv3 reports that the Spanish passport of a person of Moroccan origin was found at the scene of the attack.

One man arrested.

Just hope all those injured make a good recovery.

I've said it in the past but some posters on here show extremist views whereby if they grew up in the environment of ISIS sympathisers they would undoubtedly be like them.

Not just most of the time, all of the time. Pretty sure the number of muslims killed by extremists far out numbers non-muslims.
 
At least police will raid now they have the guy captured which will bring down any of other around him sadly to late though for unfortunate people that lost there life :(

What I would say if this is a pedestrian zone why in the current climate and recent attacks is a vehicle able to get access?

Yep the issue is not race or origin it is absolutely belief system. After all we have had white British born men radicalised and off to fight the Jihad. It's about time these people were laughed at for being so utterly stupid. Trump called them "losers" and it's one thing I actually agree with Trump on.

There's research out there stating that the more air time the media give these fools the more they are likely to attack. The media actually help them get the coverage they want. It also helps them spread the fear they want.

Imagine if every fatal car accident was covered as closely as the terrorist attacks are, the standard of driving would certainly improve.

Anyway, may those who have been killed RIP :(

Don't know he's circumstances, but unlikely he became naturalised as an adult. Rarely is that ever the case - could be a first/second generation immigrant. Despite your disagreements, he is a Spanish citizen regardless, not fresh off the boat

I'll never understand this.

At what point in the preparation for a terrorist attack, do people think someone thinks to themselves, "better pack my passport" ?

Surely the more obvious thing is that it belongs to a tourist who dropped it in the process of trying to run away from an attack? It's completely irrelevant surely?

The media portray them as scary terrorists, they need to be ridiculed and the religion they claim to follow also needs to have a light shined on it and taken apart.

We live in a modern free society that has done away with most folklore and superstition, it's about time we finished the job. We need to resign this stuff to the history books in the same way as Zeus and Thor...cool to read about but nobody believes or takes seriously anymore.

Anyone willing to kill and give their life for folklore is an idiot.

600 migrants attempting to cross from Morocco to Spain have been rescued in just 24 hours, amid a surge in arrivals on what has become the fastest growing sea route to Europe.

The Spanish coastguard said that 593 people had been pulled from 15 rafts on Wednesday, 424 of them in the Gibraltar Strait and 169 near Alborán, an island outpost midway between Spain and Morocco.

They reckon Spain could even this year become more of a magnet for this lot than Italy, it needs some Draconian action to quell it before it gets even worse.

Sigh. Ok, fine. I've edited my post accordingly, even though it makes it less clear which part of your reply I was referencing.

I'm sure I've been grossly unfair and taken your entire sentence completely out of context, and that the rest of your post will in fact clarify that you didn't mean to insinuate that the media contribute to terrorist attacks.

I mean the Daily mail contributes to racist drivel... and you'd hardly disagree with that surely?

Of course there aren't any numbers here because... i'm not even sure how you'd base a study on that, i'm sure someones trying mind you, it'd be a good thesis.
 
I like to walk around with clenched fists whenever someone in a burka passes me nowadays. Can never be too safe.

Sure but plenty of idiots still believe in god and Jesus etc. All religion should be ridiculed.
