Barcelona Incident

Than when exactly? More violent and divisive than World War II? More violent and divisive than the Hippy 60's (when Vietnam was happening and the civil rights movement was in full effect?)

Has it occurred to you that with 24 hours rolling news and twitter and Youtube and the internet and instant reporting that we're just a lot more aware of all the issues now, than when we got news at 6 and 10 p.m?
What is that graph? I mean society in general not Terror attacks

Don't do Twitter or fb, don't watch TV news so what's your point

I appreciate that's meant to show a low rate of death since the Northern Ireland based terrorism. But what is also shows is an absolutely MASSIVE rise in the number of people killed in the UK due to terrorism in the last 10 year period. It's a HUGE increase.

Only because the attacks this year. Mainly the Manchester bombing.

I wish people would stop saying "tiny minority"

Its a minority sure, but its significant enough that there's weekly Islamic inspired terrorist attacks, whether there somewhere in the Middle East, Africa, Spain or France, its now almost constant.
I have said this before many times, everytime i hear that word my first thought is what is 1% of 1.8 Billion, the answer is not exactly a small number is it?

This thread is full of the same apologists as always, they never seem to condemn these attacks nor do they ever have anything harsh to say about the Islamic attackers, no just full on deflect and shutdown tripe.

Laughable whataboutery.

As we keep telling you, the answer is a minority....it might go in one day

the answer is not exactly a small number is it?

No one ever said it was, just that 1% of something is a minority....I know you struggle with that concept, so we'll take it slow for you

*yawn* same old same old....Please show where anyone is not condemning these attacks.....its all fantasy in your head. What some people don't want to do is apply harsh measures to the 99% (that's called the majority by the way) for the actions of the 1% (the minority) which are completely impractical or don't solve the problem

Arazi, do you just think anyone that defends Muslims are apologists?

Because as i see it, everyone is condemning these attacks and are just defending innocent Muslims being associated with these acts

Why? I don't understand that mindset at all

Are you that scared by terrorism that you would avoid a city that's had one islamist attack?

That's like saying you wouldn't go to Manchester.

It shouldn't be the case, but the more people that avoid Europe due to this will eventually hit the economy and thus the EU will have no choice but to start acting in accordance with national survival, being stoic in the face of a threat that doesn't even care/actively want's to die is about as intelligent as running straight at someone with a gun who has said they will shoot you if you come near.

The ironic reality is that people should let the economy flounder and not risk possible death while people in power finally realise the need for a solution that isn't spending more of public's money telling them they're fine. We are coming to the point that the Oil racket the US invented 80-90 years ago (cemented after WW2), is near it's end and a change in rhetoric will go with it.
