I consider it a failure because we're here again, 800 years later in a much more stupid situation. You don't defeat a warlike enemy by letting it simmer away, just so it can expand to the size it has currently, if Europe wanted Islam gone it should have tried harder back then, now it's impossible and the only solution is patience as people secularise and turn atheist under better education.

Of course patience only works so long until human nature strikes, as it has done partly already.

Right enough is enough, all terroists in jail right now should just be killed one by one, fight fire with fire because nothing else seems to be working.
