Hard to say, given that he's mostly been flying around in the background up until the last couple of eps.
He is under direct mind control now, so maybe that would explain it if it is the case.

When Cersei said to Dany "We've been here for some time".

I thought to myself, yeah probably about a week in GoT time :D

Someone just pointed out on Reddit that in a lot of the LF scenes in S7 there are ravens loitering around as them squawking was annoying their girlfriend. Bran was watching the whole time. Mind blown.

So was that Jamie switching sides we saw, as he rode off? Well, in his head not that, in his head he had agreed to fight with the north, so that is what he was going to do.

**EDIT** Also, I have to say I'm disappointed in Cercei. She had no plans to join them, but didn't ambush them GoT style? I guess it would kinda ruined things, but this is what made GoT what it is. Ambushes killing off people you didn't think would be killed off, where in reality... yes, they would be killed.

Jamie's whole character arc has been about becoming a more decent person and actively choosing to do the right thing when the option is there. He swore an oath so it's his duty to upload it, so he's not so much switching sides as just pledging himself to the cause to fight the WW with team Jonerys, then worry about what happens after when the dust has settled. I think he's fated to do something important because his half-empty page in the knight's book needs to be filled, and he can't be carrying round that Kingslayer nickname forever!

You could tell the moment Brienne, the embodiment of loyalty, said '**** loyalty', Jaimes eyes were opened. Hopefully he's on the right road now.

He's also carrying some decent steel around. Needed in the North. Decent ep, was always going to show you all the pieces are in place and tie up the usless LF story arch. How long now? A week was bad enough to wait :/

I wouldn't say filler more of a traditional episode with less action and more people talking with the plot pushing forward.

Agreed. I fear that season 8 will feel very rushed.
.

It's not too late to start a petition for them to stop fudging the story, plotting everything to be lucky coincidence and provide proper, solid 13 episode final season we all (and the money involved) deserve.

I'm saying 13, so they have to pay back those 3 episodes they stole this season under "there is not enough material" pretence and then rushed through half baked plots like stupid....

Well what plots can you possibly desire now?

It'd just be 13 episodes of "DA NURF" battles, i guess they could do a last stand at Kings Landing it'd at least make the Warlock vision useful, not sure it can fit into 13 episodes though... I suppose they could do something with magical orifice Melissandre in Volantis.
