Easily the most complicated pieces of kit in any home..... IMO of course.

I seem to have misplaced the instructions. How do then generally work?

The manual turny clicky ones..with the little tabs round the outside? The little tabs are 15 or 30 min chunks, they line up with the inner bit that turns...

Digital ones will just show time on/off/temperature

So little information... :/

What exactly are you asking? How a stat actually works? How to install a stat? What kind of stat is it?

If you're asking how one works; Set it to 22C, and your central heating will turn on and stay on until the stat reaches 22C. It will then turn the heating off and will turn it back on when it reaches it's threshold (Probably 20-21C) - This is assuming you're talking about your house thermostat?

Not exactly rocket science :p

EDIT: Damn, the video had a sweary in :( Search YouTube for Peep Show Thermostat

I'll send my wife round, she'll show you how to turn it on for just 4 minutes a day then moan about it being cold all the tine

Well I fiddled about with the thing (it's a digital one) yesterday. Spotted the little flame signal pop up - cool.
. problem is... The rads don't be heating up!

Is it a wireless one? Could be it's not synced with your boiler. Or your boiler is borked. Or the pressure in the system is too low. Or all the radiators are turned down. Call a plumber. He'll charge you £100 for something daft you've forgotten to check.

Hmmmm I'd say it's luke warm. Winter is coming and I need to get this sorted.

Will have another look for the instructions when I get home. If I still can't find it I'll post pics.

Info man, come on!

Has the system worked fine with this stat?

Has anything changed? Any work done on the boiler?

Like I said I have hot water.. not has hot as I would like it. But gets the job done.

My main concern is that the radiators don't appear to heat up.
