Creating this thread because he does bring some very good videos, hate him or not he does know his stuff. He researches way beyond what anyone else does atm.. Lets just keep this thread GPU related Videos has he does do other hardware also.

Very good information within these two videos, he does bring a bigger picture!

My biggest Disappointment with AMD right now is just how long the wait was for VEGA. Am very happy with the performance coming from a R9 290 though.. Lets hope Navi is released in a better time frame.

Very Nicely done Recap of some Nvidia Shady Business Practices..

I'm not being funny but this bit comes across more like a bashing thread rather than an information one. Maybe keep it a little more positive than negative? We all know nVidia are in the game to make money (whatever that takes, which is fine as they're a business unlike AMD who are a charity and everyone's friend ;) )As you know, some people on here hardly need an excuse to get into a flame war...

I think if people have anything positive or negative to say about AdoredTV it should be put across in a logical argument stating exactly where and why the channel is Good/Bad.

Short one line comments add no value to a discussion thread and the Dons really should delete them.

For once it would be nice to have a neat tidy debate thread with all the garbage edited/deleted.

As for myself I won't be posting an opinion as I don't have anything useful or constructive to say.

I will be reading the thread though as I may learn something useful about AdoredTV that will make watching the channel worthwhile or not.:)

Is ocuk an advertising platform for youtubers now? Is it not more appropriate to just add relevant info to the hundred other threads about a specific thing

Mmmmmmmm, advertising for youtubers on OCUK is not something i would be over keen on.
That said, i do think that Adored's vids above are a very important history lesson. Certainly for the youngsters on here and probably for us oldies that had forgotten about stuff.
I also think the point he makes about Nvidia giving us less for more and releasing mid range cards as high end cards is completely valid, because he is right about the blase acceptence of the situation of review sites in general.

I am not a fan of the guy, as no matter what AMD do, he goes on to bash the crap out of NVidia and whilst that is fine for anyone to do, making a thread dedicated to him and boosting his income seems a bit much to me.

Agree with you there 100%.
To be fair to the guy though Gregster, if you had watched his videos you would have known "he goes on to bash the crap" out of Radeon Tec, Intel and at times AMD as well................................so he's not too bothered about ruffling any of the big boy's feathers :)

Not too keen on adoredtv, I find it sort of intresting but all I hear is if,what and maybe and very little in the way of factual content

I really like his videos but I am not sure that there should be a thread dedicated to his channel in this forum.

I understand the reason for the Digital foundry thread but finding it hard to understand this one. His videos pop up in other discussions anyway and this thread feels like it will descend into fanboy chaos.

I liked that he brings up review conclusions concerning the 680, which you've got to admit were crazy, and was the major turning point for little improvement with high prices. Those review conculsions had absolutely no logic to them, reviewers went from saying 60% increase in perf at a same price point wasn't really enough to saying 20% increase at the same price point was good all that within 2 generations...
His conclusion was that the reviewers weren't critical enough, which of course is true, but I find that he was being "kind" in saying that and not trying to dig deeper, because when you take a step back it can look like something more "nefarious" was going on. I'm more interested in knowing why all of a sudden reviewers were way less critical.
Not saying Kepler was bad by any means, just that the reviews weren't reflecting reality.

The GTX680? Are you forgetting AMD launched first with higher prices? I bought a 7950 on launch, a few weeks later the 680/670 came out, I bought a 680 at launch for the same price I'd bought my 7950, while having a superior card. Things changed when the 79XX matured however, which is why I ended up with a Matrix 7970 at the end of the generation. But the 670's had a lot of very good price/performance deals on also.

Looking at the nonsense AMD/Intel/Nvidia have pulled over the years and it's no big surprise that many are jumping ship to consoles. Who could blame them with incremental upgrades at ludicrous prices.

PC Gaming has never been more boring than it is just now.

Well i've not seen these new videos of his yet, so as i usually do, im gona put the kettle on and make a brew before i sit back and enjoy yet another video (or 2) from AdoredTV :D

I'll catch yer later :p

Same could be said posting countless links to http://wccftech.com boosting there numbers.
EDIT
FYI hey has torn into AMD just has much lately if you watch his recent videos you would understand that.

Good point, people love posting links to that site here. I never click on them though. Mainly rumours and fake news with a few noteworthy info in there to make them seem legit. Ever since the RX 480 lies they made, I stay away.

Yep.. Least I creating a thread from a guy who speaks worthy discussion material :D

And you've correctly summed up why his argument is flawed. Any competitor would absolutely love their competition to be releasing mid range products at high end prices. This would allow them to easily take huge market share as they can massively undercut them at the mid range which is where more sales occur. This hasn't happened. In fact, amd appear further behind, so the most logical conclusion is that we've reached the point of diminishing gains in gpu production, but nobody is sat on their hands just raking in the money.
