How can you free that which is already free?
Maybe the mods took it upon themselves to approve their posts first like they do with mine and they gave up wanting to contribute anything at all..

Dear tracertong,

Please do not refer to posters as "**********". This is a banned term that will simply antagonise.
No Brexit discussion in GD please - makes the ********** melt.
You're joking yes?
Are you calling mods **********, since they are the only ones with issues about Brexit being discussed outside of SC.
There were more women on here historically though, so while there's an element of women being less interested in technology on the whole your point doesn't actually stand up. If anything technology should be, on average, attracting more and more women these days so there should have been a steady increase, but there hasn't - why is that? You can wrap it up any which way it suits you and pretend it's part of some "leftist agenda", the question was raised and i answered it. There's a culture of bitter, "hard-done-by", little boys on here who make it an unpleasant place for women to have their voice heard and so.. they don't bother! I doubt men would get the same treatment on a flower arranging forum as the **** women get attributed on here and i bet there is a higher % of men on flower arranging forums than there are women on here. For instance:It's not so much about misogyny as it is naturally differing interests of the sexes. Women don't necessarily belong everywhere, hard as that may be to swallow for the gender neutrality loons. Just like typical blokes wouldn't generally hang out on a flower arranging forum.
But hey if misogyny fits your leftist agenda better then carry on.
Fundamentally the attitude towards women on here is often one of objectification or suspicion ("don't marry her, she'll take your stuff" etc..)
Oh, I don't know, I had someone imply I was gay for wearing lycra to go cyclingThere's plenty of blokes in cycling gear and no-one seems to think it's for sexual attention.

so many guys just saying women wear yoga pants for male attention, including 2 Dons in the first 5 posts. There's plenty of blokes in cycling gear and no-one seems to think it's for sexual attention. Fundamentally the attitude towards women on here is often one of objectification or suspicion ("don't marry her, she'll take your stuff" etc..) and why would you want to engage when that sort of culture is prevailing? Are you genuinely telling me that you think the forum is, on the whole, very egalitarian and the only reason there aren't more women here (not an equal number of women, just more) is because they aren't as interested in technology? I don't expect you to answer the question, frankly i don't care about the answer, just ask it of yourself.
That's without even starting to get into the Muslim/immigrant bashing..

I admit that this place isn't the most diverse, but two questions back to you:
1. Why does this forum need to be diverse in your opinion? Can't some things just be left to competitive forces (i.e. aggrieved female technology enthusiasts go and start a more equal forum, and men from here that agree go and join them)? Women want equality when it suits them, but ask females if they should be conscripted in times of war and they're suddenly not so keen.
2. What's your solution to sorting it out, if indeed there is a problem?
People in general are big on problems and small on solutions. The only solution that will work is for all these aggrieved women to capitalise on the (no doubt numerous) blokes on here that feel similar to you and leave for a more welcoming environment.
There's a bit of a culture of difficult people on this forum isn't there tbh? It's no wonder there's barely any women on here. A lot of misogynistic opinions and generally a bit of a bitter outlook. There's some gems, but there also aren't. I'm still here though
