Just bought aorus waterfoce gtx1080ti - possible cracked ?

Biulder said that he got mb free from gigabyte/Aorus for the Aorus build and bought the gpu from them and then registered it. He sent me the gigabyte Aorus extended registered warranty paperwork with it to show it had a full warranty.
I paid him £627 delivered for gpu. Could bought new for 780 with destiny2 but that just more then can spend on a gpu hence buying this off him.

was about to say there's only one guy i Know that was sponsored a Ti waterforce and a Poseidon and is straight up so wouldn't be him, but for a guy to buy direct from a Vendor... unles she bought 1000 units ...

I have same feeling. First step into wc and get this. Gutted.

Still shocked that he knows it arrived like this, yet no full refund offer, only said Its under warranty so just rma it. Then offered to contact gigabyte for me to help with rma claim through him which he said he did late lastnight and expects a reply later today.

least he's going to do it, but if its fault down to him.... i cant see you getting your money back..... legally doesnt have to....

Only reason this time I paid family and freinds is because bought last mb and gpu off him from last project and no problems with that.
Seems like a good guy. But I trust everyone like there me.
He did say he wished he had spotted it, so do I.

right, sounds like its a bit more friendly terms then reading from the start, which is always a good thing .

Key thing to underline if this is due to his fault with the RMA , will he refund you - as you've stated above seem to be on good terms and a multiple buyer , hopefully this will be the case .
if it is down to manufactures fault, hopefully it gets resolved nice and quick for yourself.
hoping the card is fine , but as you've stated fund are low to replace the waterblock- dont think alphacool have one yet for the card and they produce the cheapest blocks

That's pretty amazing of you. Hope it sorts out his problem, as it doesn't sound like he's going to be getting any quick or cheap solution to his problem otherwise!

Are you sure it's a crack and not just a scratch? if it is a crack I'd do what tyler_jrb suggests and buy an EK waterblock assuming it's a reference PCB or there is a block available for it, I'd test the card works first though given that the guy has stitched you up so well.

It is the aorus Ti waterblock. Same as here .

As said, it's not the end of the world if you have to get another block for it. Still salvagable.

I suggest not dealing with him again though. Everyone is great til you need some help with something, THEN you find out what they're made of...

Just want to say so Sorry Ive not replied sooner just didn't want talk about it, but the seller now offering refund me in about a week after FB messaged him about how. I feel abit better told him just stressing me out and cant really deal with it, taking me back to bad place in my head again. Will be so much better when finally get money back, but still worry that return it and he go away, so pray he is as good as word.

No problem mate . I know what it's like to get ripped off as I have with a couple of parts on the bay. And like I said the amount I'd get for them anyway. I'd rather take a small loss, to help someone out in need.

THANKYOU Again for offering mate, a true honest person. Im feeling so much better already. Just the wait for refund,(Fingerscrossed) Just got to ship card back to seller first. All goes well I will get my £627 back Gonna try some music that says can relax and reduce stress and overthinking and some affirmation stuff for next few nights to see if that helps, but your offer and the promise of full refund next week when seller gets paid has brought me to such a high rightnow. Just so bad overthinking stuff and going over and over the same things all the time and when go to bed it gets worse when nothing to distract my mind. Usually get to sleep 4-6am but as soon as I wake up it starts again. But think will get a good sleep tonight for first time since Thursday night. Just don't want comedown from this high rightnow. Its so weird but good.
