I'll try my Samsung Qi charger tomorrow and let you lot know.

I've just ordered one of these too.

Wireless Charger, Anker Fast Charge Qi Wireless Charging Pad PowerPort Qi 10 for Apple iPhone 8 / iPhone 8 Plus / iPhone X, Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus / S7 / S7 Edge, S6 / S6 Edge, Nexus 4 / 5 / 6 / 7, Nokia Lumia 920, LG Optimus Vu 2, HTC 8X / Droid DNA and All Qi-Enabled Devices https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KJL4XNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PO6WzbH9YQNVR

I've just had one of these delivered. Works a treat on my S7 Edge.. It was funny how it increased from £13.99 to £14.99 to £15.99 to £16.99 in the days following the iPhone 8 announcement.

Yeah, expect to see it close to £20 once they start selling more.

I hope to get my phone early Morning, I've looked on the very website at the 8+, it says over 100 people have ordered one in the last 4 hours.

Courier will be busy tomorrow! :p

I’m going to swap my phone on the upgrade programme tomorrow morning. Never swapped a phone at the Apple store before. Do they let you backup your phone and do a basic restore of the new one? I can wait for photos but don’t want to be without my phone all day until I get home.

Had my despatch notification from EE. Pretty pleased with my deal (upgrade) 5Gb a month for £57.99 but I get a £10 a month loyalty discount, 20% corporate discount and a free handset (8+ 64Gb). Add to that the 3 months free BT Sport and 6 months free Apple music I think that's pretty cool :)

I'm a little confused.. I thought the I phone 8/x was hitting 10k multicore score in geekbench from what iv been seeing with the A11 Bionic chip...

Why in this unboxing video did he only get a 6k Multicore score then... That's a huge difference from the leaked benchmarks.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was still doing setup related stuff. My iPhone 7 has gotten a 6000 score so 6300 on an 8 is way too low.

Well surprise surprise, my yodel delivery is still showing as at sender even though I got an email at 7 this morning saying it was with the courier. Joke company, not expecting it tomorrow. Probably Monday at the earliest.

He has just tweeted saying he has run it again and getting better scores. It must have been doing setup tasks in the background when he was filming.

Now showing as being delivered tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Haha gotta love the love on OCUK!

Was hoping to get mine today but had no delivery confirmation (Mobiles.co.uk), kinda wished i'd bought from Very!

I just had an interesting conversation with a nice chap who I see from time to time, one of the managers in a local Carphone Warehouse. He's said that they have been very underwhelmed by the 8/8Plus pre-orders this year, with lots of interest moving towards the X, so much so he reckons that they've only done 55-60% of the volume of the 7/7 Plus from last year, and unless today is mega busy, then the figures are not looking great for phone retailers across the land.

Then we got round to the SIM free option, and again he said this seems to be increasingly what people are opting for due to the option of 0% APR from Apple etc., and the much lower overall monthly price with a decent SIM only tarrif. He used the example of the £10pm tarrif on ID Mobile, 5GB Data, 500 Minutes, 5000 Texts + the phone cost of only £31.50pm, so £41.50pm total, with no tie in being a big draw to people who are wising up to the savings to be had against the standard 24 month deals. Again he said they have been more aggressive with pricing on these, and that tariffs have increase data, vs. last year and carry and lower average cost, but it's not helping. He thinks that this will be the first year since he can remember that network operators may end up doing offers before the Christmas rush is done with.

Anyhow, it was interesting and I can see how this may cause major issues with stock once the X is released. :)
