German Election polls

Hmm you have a point, Merkel is very clever and thinks a lot before talking let alone acting.

Very few things happen by chance.

I would even put money on the migrant crisis being engineered. To preponderate my stance: We never saw this level of immigration in any previous middle eastern war. The fact that we are now should make us question just what is happening. This is an engineered event, sadly the truth of that statement is being held by power brokers who people put a X next to because they've done it before, and before, and before - and their parents did too. And so they keep doing it because "it will get better". It doesn't but still a X for the same just might make it get better "this time"

When I checked earlier RT was saying the US is supporting ISIS positions and included evidence (the same with Turkey also colluding and providing support to ISIS). The BBC didn't have a peep on its site (don't know if it has now). Plus there is a steadily increasing amount of evidence (by investigative journalists) who are finding how the US weapons transfers to ISIS and others in the ME are working.

I think sometimes people stand to close to the picture at the wrong times

Why would you accept the word of RT on what the USA are doing with regards to Islamic State?

Coudenhove-kalergi plan.

Because they've done more to fight ISIS than any other external player. In fact iirc Govt forces retook more land in 6weeks of Russian intervention than in 6months of US intervention.

Assad is not a friend of the US , Kissinger double crossed his dad.

Sock puppets are off their meds today, it seems; has been a while since they stirred this much, so must be a poll thread. Or is it like Alex Jones - just a 'performance act' driven by personal problems and money worries? :p I don't even care anymore! Alt-reality is leaking - on noo - whatever will we do! To the keyboards! Haha! Have a thousand 4chan cookies, JC on a bike! :D

But he was. I know what changed it. Now he is paying the price for going against the hegemony. Russia's involvement has created a problem for the hegemonic power but it will be overcome with propaganda.

I'll still never forget seeing Gaddafis speech to the Arab Nations where he said - quite prophetically - I will be next and Assad you will be soon. He even attacked the Emirati royals as being one of the hands of the US.

Anyway we digress a great deal. AfD have made gains because German politicians have sold out their nation and killed their people

Utter rubbish. :p:p

AfD is a protest vote against the large amount of migration. Migration which has tailed off and is a net benefit to the German economy and props up their population growth which was becoming an issue.

Fourth term? why don't Germany just become a monarchy? do German's not like change?

Right wing parties are always popular after a recession. Don't worry, as the Euro economy continues to improve more left wing parties will return to power

Merkel has and appears to have the attribute that is probably most widely valued in a leader - competence. That's enough to withstand even her huge mistake in inviting in enough migrants in one go to look very like a solid beginning of a conquest since there was no real chance of integrating them and no reason to think they would want to integrate anyway. AfD is a defensive reaction against that conquest and has gained a lot as a result, but things haven't been bad enough quickly enough for them to overcome the proven competence of Merkel once she started to acknowledge that there was a problem. If she can do and be seen to do something effective to protect Germany from her own mistake (which she seems to be doing), she could have a 5th term. She is very good at the job and voters know that. Germany has done very well under her leadership. Why change what works well just the for the sake of change?

I'd rather have Merkel than May, that's for sure.

 That is a huge stretch to compare them to the Nazi party. Ever think that maybe, just maybe the 2m migrants entering the German area and causing untold damage/crime/rape not to mention highly common terror attacks has a big part to play?

It seems to me people blaming the AfD for umpteen things are the same type of myopic hair brained type who cannot see the AfD are not the problem. The AfD never were a problem until the above happened.

I love the term far right now applied to everyone right of Lenin/Marx. It must be a weird world view indeed.

To be clear: If you oppose migration it doesn't make you far right. In the same way if you oppose/disagree with a certain 5 letter word does not make you far right.

No, that doesn’t make you far right.

But what about posting images seemingly wanting Hitler back?

Perhaps it’s just individuals, rather than the party itself, but then you hear that the founders and several MEPs left the party in 2015 citing a rise of xenophobia and pro Russian feeling in the party, the party was chucked out of the ECR (European Conservatives and Regormists group in the EU parliament) due to links with far right groups and some of the advertising seen in the run up to the election, which if you exchanged Muslim for Jew isn’t far off the sort of message seen in the 30’s.

The parties stance is also anti Muslim, anti immigration, anti same sex marriage, anti same sex adoption, believes women should take “traditional” roles in society (anti feminism) and believe climate change is a hoax.

If it’s not far right, it’s VERY “right” leaning and several of its prominent members/leaders hold some “interesting” views.

Merkel on the other hand appears to be good at taking the middle ground, listening to reason and actually changing tact if ya proven that it makes sense. Most reports indicate she doesn’t really have a strong ideology she is trying to push through, rather she’s happy to take the ideas of others and run with them if they make sense.

Her worst result ever.
But it does make me laugh when she said " addressing the root causes of migration" sorry it was you merkel.
