Freedom of speech. Why do so many people feel they have the right to dictate what Americans do. Their country and laws.

Naa humour is dead on the internet unless it is slapstick toilet humour. Anything close to the knuckle is far too offensive and we all know that the rise in cancer cases is caused by offensive comments on the internet.Have the revealed his gun stash yet?
Perk choices?
Kill streaks?
Little dark humour yet?
Mental that the guy was a millionaire......I don't really know what else to say...
It's yet another tragedy in a very long line of U.S. shooting tragedies. There will likely as not be another one along shortly, then another and another, so on and so on.
Not until the American people and law makers take on the all powerful U.S. gun lobby is there any chance that things might improve any time soon. When you have an organisation stating the only way to deal with a bad person with a gun is to have a good person with a gun, then you know your society is in real trouble.
The right to bear arms as part of the U.S. constitution might have been right for the times when it was written. It is not right for the 21st century.
Yes, in that millions strong well regulated militia keeping tabs on the security of the free statethat is your opinion, i am sure you'll find millions of americans that disagree
I have a problem with everyone shouting "mental health" every time a mass shooting happens, not aimed at you personally by the way.You can't pay a company to let you shoot into a crowed of people. Money doesn't stop mental health issues.

We know more about mental health issues than ever before, it has been thrust into the spotlight and is the next big thing in health care. We've largely got a grip on cancer and HIV which have been 2 of the biggest issues in the world for a long time. Mental health, whether it be something from birth or through ageing is the next nut we are trying to crack.
But despite our efforts to improve health care in this area we see more and more incidents of mass shootings.
Personally I don't think it's right to label these killers as "suffering with mental health conditions". Usually they are fully in control of their thoughts when they commit their crimes. For me it is a character flaw that has manifested itself over time and is caused by the environment they live in.
I just don't believe that narcissists and sociopaths have some sort of chemical imbalance in the brain that can lump them in with those who are genuinely suffering from a mental illness. Those behaviours are learned traits and over time this guy and those before him have detached themselves from society, not because they are ill but because society allows that to happen.
I think labelling him as "mentally ill" is a kop out personally.

Well it would a bit, since they are banned in the hotels.
Millions of Americans believe that the earth was created in 7 days and is flat. They also believe that we are all descended from Adam and Eve.
Simply having an opinion doesn't mean it is worthwhile.

and to add to that, it surely would raise eyebrows from this point on. i know different states have different laws as regards conceal-carry etc but all i was saying was that scanning bags should be enough to stop people carrying assault rifle-sized weapons around.
Just out of interest though, Scania, are you talking about hunting rifles, which i can understand as being a lot more common in some areas, or assault rifle types?
What did Obama do in 8 years, even after Sandyhook?Trump sold his orange soul to the NRA in return for their loyal support. He will be doing nothing other than blowing hot air about a tragedy and feeling sorry for the families of the dead. Fast forward 6 months and there will still be machine gun toting nutters as nothing will ever change while Trump is in the pockets of the NRA.
