Just working my way through the driving school stuff. Not played a racing game for so long!

Got it running on a PS4 pro on an oled tv and it looks great.

Servers are definitely flaky, first online daily game, about to start, disconnected from server. ZZZ.

Edit: same again, qualIfy fine, wait for the time to start...Disconnected from network (NE-21293293)

How's the engine and upgrades in this? Disregarding visuals, is it similar to Forza? Air Intake, Suspension, Brakes, Turbo etc?

Nope, all of that is gone....

You can upgrade but it’s not in depth.

Mostly gone thank god.

Grinding upgrades to make your car OP and to easily win an event even with poor driving was tedious looking back.

This game has hooked me, the racing is the best in any racing game I've played imo by a long shot.

I'm really enjoying it but gutted I can't play Sport Mode...!

Considering the amount of detail the creators have gone into making this, does it annoy anyone that the fuel gauge never moves?

Edit: I got further this time, finding players then bam, disconnected from network. They give me error codes but there doesn't appear an error log of any kind?! NE-210AA0AA this time.

Yeah I guess if the gameplay was 30fps it wouldn't be so noticeable but 30fps is massively noticeable when you're switching from silky smooth 60fps.

Despite the lack of SP content, this game feels really nice. Plays perfect on a launch PS4 and generally doesn't sound loud unless in certain menus. Graphically the track looks a little meh but, I had an offline race on Brands Hatch and the first thing that came to my eye, was how nice the cars looked.

Does anyone know if the safety car pack will be available to buy? or if you can purchase these cars in the games dealerships? I bought the game Digital Duluxe, so missed out.

Does it not move if you switch on fuel usage?

I found fuel usage quite bad, on the suzuka track, I get 4 laps until my full fuel tank is empty.

It's funny when you run out of fuel, you can still drive your car, but it is limited to 49 mph.

I discovered fuel usage yesterday in campaign and it was mental! lol! Pitted, thought yeah, that will be enough for a lap. //Runs out 3 quarters of the way round... :|

I am enjoying the online racing, people seem to drive decently and not like bells. Either that or the bells have already been shifted into lobbies together?!

I long to play online, that is why I got it! It seems I'm not the only one getting disconnected, apparently it decreases my player rating/behaviour thing to despite not being my fault.

Just had my first two races online, both was fairly clean. Both times I've qualified second but when the race starts I tend to bottle it. Finished 7th in my first race but my second race was really easy. Guy in front couldn't be caught but the guy behind seemed too slow to catch me, so managed to get 2nd there.

At the start of one of the races when you get the auto-drive, the guy in front had a bit of a lead on me. For some reason my car slowed right down which left an open gap between first place and me.

Give it a few more races, you will find your confidence starts to grow. I found myself going into the first few corners on any race expecting to be rear ended, bracing for impact, but once you get in with a good crowd and your SR goes up you will find your driving style changes and you embrace the corners rather than cower away from them. (in my experience anyway)

How does this fair to the older gran turismo like GT6 more to the point? Recently got a PS3 and playing 5 again, but I may buy a PS4 again and gran turismo was my fave racing game, so now this one is out maybe worth a punt?
