Due to the ****-up by the retailers, both my pre-orders are still showing as active and preparing dispatch etc. I'll end up with 2 copies at this rate!
 
My 6 year old has been pulled into the hype from the push of Mario Youtube and TV advertising. That jump tune is catchy !!
 
Let the thread divulge into the traditional launch week shenanigans of who's had a dispatch, who hasn't, and WHY :D

Joking aside it's all part of the hype, I expect the compulsory photo of an early copy by wednesday/Thursday please

Why didn't you just grab a copy from the Portuguese shop that broke the release date two days ago?

Yes I saw that article.

Because by this point I have spent €100 on Mario. If I spent another €50 getting it I think the wife would explode :p
 
When I was in Portugal in September I went in to a 'Worten' and was amazed how much Games and UHD blu-rays were compared to the UK.

€34.99 for a UHD blu-ray that would be £19.99 here.
 
Worten & FNAC are very overpriced with some things. And very competitive in others. It's odd!

They do good deals on pre-orders though. Generally speaking I like to order from El-Corte Inglês. They seem to be the most reliable and nicest experience so far.
 
Nintendo are really winding me up with these great games. Looks like I'm going to be £350 down this week (especially as most the games on the other 2 consoles are money pits).

This game is giving me the same vibes as just before Mario 64 came out.
 
I just found out I might not get the game Friday. Due to having to go to the in-laws on Thursday night (possibly)

Which means no game until Monday at the earliest!

Anyone know when the reviews will be going up? I've got my order in with Simply games. Can't wait!!

Wife wants me to WFH on Friday in case we go directly after work (we're going up either way) and one copy of the game is being delivered to work, the other is pick up from store NEAR work.

I could try and change the delivery address. But if we go up Thursday night, it's useless anyway.

Divorce time I think.

I think there is only one logical conclusion. You will have to get a divorce.....
 
I'm trying to swing it so I work from the office on the morning and go home at lunch with the hope I can either get one copy delivered or pick up the other on the way home etc

Waiting to find out the definitive "plan" for the weekend and then I'll plan my offensive!
