***Official - Super Mario Odyssey Thread!*** NO SPOILERS

Glad you're all enjoying it! Im going to save it until xmas. Also, my question about the box posting wasn't intended to start any arguments, I have to clarify some things because a lot of things go over my head, joy of being an Aspie :)
 
Enjoying Mario a lot more today for some reason. Everything about it just screams quality, with the music being particularly fantastic. I take back my "3d world being better" comment but I still stand by 3d world being a great game.
 
Anyone else annoyed by the fact that you can't get every power moon in a kingdom (the first kingdom at least) without getting further into the story? I'd at least like a prompt saying you've found everything you can for now, go explore new kingdoms and come back later or something. I wandered around for ages trying to power moons that weren't there because of this, it's frustrating.
 
Good to know lol I went back trying to get all the moon's but could not find them! Ow well the level might change a bit once we have to go back I guess?


Loving the game so far my only grip it's bit easy? I have only done the the first few levels so could be early days

Nah it's very Mario 64 and super mario world that way :)

Not really a spoiler but kinda hilarious off another forum.
 
Think it's a very good game but not as immediately impressed as I was with 3D World, but I prefer a more linear approach to levels than sprawling collect-a-thons.

Still quite early on so keen to see what surprises Odyssey has to offer.
 
Very disappointed with the co op after 3D World which was one of the best co op games of all time. If they are not going to make it half decent it shouldn't be part of the game.
 
It's amazing. Like the best bits from later 3d Mario games bolted on to Mario 64. After 3D land, which was a miss for me, this is a massive relief! So far - 75 moons over the first four worlds - it's as good as, if not better, than the Galaxy games. It's hard to praise it more than that!
 
88 moons. Been playing it for most of today. Glorious. Love the attention to detail and just how it's overflowing with brilliant ideas. They have done to Mario what they did to Zelda. Familiar but fresh as well.
 
Holy crap the wait for Tuesday is getting painful. I am heading to Lisbon a little earlier than originally planned tomorrow so I might very well swing by work and pick it up.
