***Official - Super Mario Odyssey Thread!*** NO SPOILERS

Got to 99 moons last night. The game is an absolute joy. It's like playing someone's acid trip.

Some of the stuff you can turn into is just genius.

How many moons are there? 120? I’m up to about 48. The thing I like about it are just the funny/random little moments that Nintendo always gets right. Also love the
8 bit sections
.

How does 2 player work? I haven’t got any friends to play with.

Not sure on the exact number but one early world has a total of

69! So I think there's hundreds ;)

Holy crap the wait for Tuesday is getting painful. I am heading to Lisbon a little earlier than originally planned tomorrow so I might very well swing by work and pick it up.

We will all be done with it by then :p

Yea screw guides! So rewarding to discover.

Also the game has built in cheats so no need for a guide at all if you need help.

I'm enjoying this, and afaik I'm currently on the last boss without heavy play (160+ moons) - so slightly concerned about the main story line length. I'm sure there will be lots of things to collect to totally finish it. Also, except for a few bits of the last "world" - it's been remarkably easy so far...

Yea! It's a handy system and only helps so much which I like. I'm happy to use the in game stuff. Anything else is too much. I try to clear out a level as much as seems possible then check with the in game help. Once or twice I have found them all for them to say no hints available :D

I’ve got over 220 moons. Finished the game.

youll be pleasantly surprised with end game content. :) won’t say anymore

I am over 200 moons but have not finished the main story, for me its not that I am rushing through it more that once I pick it up I then struggle to stop as its addictive like most great Nintendo games.

I didn’t really rush through it. I felt if I’d gotten a good amount of moons in a world I moved on. Gonna hoover the rest up over the next week or so.

I've got 220 moons now and am only in New Donk City

I don't think that's a spoiler as it was heavily promoted in all the mario trailers.

Anyone else enjoy 100%ing the smaller kingdoms a lot more? I found myself incredibly bored after around 40 moons on the Sand Kingdom. It's just not interesting enough to warrant spending multiple hours there searching every nook and cranny. Maybe when I go back to them after finishing the main game i'll enjoy them more but for now I think i'm going to explore a bit while doing the story missions and not worry about getting everything I can. I really enjoy the game as a whole and I don't want to burn myself out on it too much :p.

You have only just scratched the surface with that moon count.

I've used the vague hint system but avoided the one that shows you where the missing moon is. It's nice to be able to choose how much hand holding the game does for you.
