Assassin’s Creed Origins Graphics Card Performance

I've heard this game gimps performance due to the anti piracy measures ubi have enabled which causes one core to run at 100% all the time.

Performance is pretty poor on my stock 3770k paired with a 1070 only getting around 60-70fps at 1080p

Amd have always performed quite bad vs nvidia in these games. They use heavy amount of NVidia gameworks tech that massively favour nvidia.

I am very surprised how well amd is doing in this newer game.

AMD console game, running terrible on AMD gfx cards on the PC, who'd have thought :p

Ermmm?> The Console has never had the PC gaming Feature!! lol Hell even still the Console versions in the past have had issues with Frame rate! Its just a poor engine and only does well on PC because of Brute force...

You can't have it both ways man, it's either AMD will go great guns on PC now because of porting or it's a **** engine :D

Tbf, AMD are at their strongest when the game is programmed to the better open standards :)

When the PC version of a game is running code optimised for AMD, amd will do well. When you have a PC version ridden with Nvidia code amd is going to struggle..

So you're basically refuting your earlier comments of 'AMD in consoles is good for their PC graphics'? That's a bit of a blanket statement, and AssCreed has proven it wrong.

No because it's still also using Directx 11 consoles don't use DirectX 11 so it doesn't matter here.
DirectX 12 and Vulkan is what matters for AMD and developers.
