Ryzen Prices Slashes Again?

On the weekend the 1600 could be found for £136 and others R7 considerable cheaper than normal. But the prices went back again today.

Yep, that certain etailer cancelled them all due to pricing errors.

Another giant site did price match and will probably honour but they have gone back up too.

People on HUKD are not happy.

Overclockers and a few of their competitors are saying on twitter that there is 'exciting news coming at 4pm today'.

Could this be the Ryzen price cuts that happened yesterday (which shouldn't have happened)?

All the others are saying 4pm. Would be disappointing if that's all this is - a 5% price cut on Ryzen. Not complaining, but with some extra incentives they could really ruin this Coffee-Lake launch even more.
Every penny helps due to astronomical RAM prices. We will find out soon.

I ordered a 1700X from a competitor site for £227, my orders still open but they are having "Stock Issues" and have removed all R7 CPU's from their site, was it a pricing error? or was it a short flash sale type affair only a few websites signed up to? who knows, all i know is i paid my money and my order is not being shipped yet :( but its not been cancelled as of yet.

Pricing re-activated, AMD keep turning the offers on and off, but it seems to be working for them as sales are very strong. :)

Only cancelled where stock ran out.

It seems overclockers are now the cheapest! What is going on.

Wreaking havoc. Bold moves by AMD if its been them all along.

AMD are not to blame, they make it very clear to resellers about promotional activities, if a reseller messes up, its their own fault, not AMD's. Sometimes we forget to put prices up when a promotional activity ends by 24-48hr, but we just ship those customer orders out as we don't like having customers complain or have issues and when its our fault for not updating price in time, we take it on the chin and ship the customers order at a loss as the customer should not suffer for our error.

Of course if we priced say a £1200 laptop at £120 on site and 100 people ordered, that is different and can be seen as a genuine error at which point we'd cancel orders as no company can afford to lose a grand at a time over say 100 laptops, not a mistake we have made by the way, but an example.
