Xbox One X

But what about the Colour Depth and Colour Space options? I've set mine to 10 bit colour depth and left space on standard, but since my TV supports Dolby Vision which is apparently 12 bit I'm not sure if that is what I should be using or not. Anyone have any idea?

Also the Xbox One X doesn't support Dolby Vision anyway, so you might as well just use 10bit.

Thanks for that. Would explain why 4:2:2 seems to give the best overall picture. Also it seems that the panels are only 10 bit anyway so I'll leave it at that. Is there anything to be gained by changing colour space from standard to PC RGB? I know that option has been around since the 360 days but I've never really known what is to be gained from it.

As said above it is probably the the HDMI ports you have them plugged into. On my TV all 4 HDMI support HDR however only 2 support the consoles at 60 with HDR. This was explained:

All ports support: 4K @ 4:4:4/4:2:2(30p,25p,24p) 4:2:0(60p,50p)
but only ports 1/2 support 4K @ 4:4:4/4:2:2(60p,50p)

So, you can't feed ports 3/4 a 60/50p signal at 4:4:4/4:2:2 only at 4:2:0.

Yes I was going t post about that, I'm having problems starting games with various error messages. One error I had last night which I remember as it was quite funny (and annoying) was: "For some reason XXXXX has taken too long to start (0x8027025a)" and well it didn't start, had to try a few times. Other errors I get include 0x800705b4.

Good luck with the 0x800705b4 error. I have had this since release day. No disc game will install online or offline I have. Posted on here, looked on several sites and been in contact with Microsoft and have had no luck resolving. just get installation stopped every time with that code. Sad to see my Scorpio will be returned. Picking up the standard x tonight and fingers cross I won’t have the same error.

Don’t won’t to be stuck with resulting to digital download only versions for my games.

Sorry to hear that :( I'll keep an eye on mine on the weekend, and try to install a few things as most of the stuff was copied from my old Xbone

the "game took to long to start " problem , i had that on my S last night , so it might be a server thing ?

Could be, MS did report server issued last night and it was the first time I'd seen that particular error.

I really do wonder how old some of these haters are.

"Hmmm, I must go in to the console section and tell them what I think of their inferior device, that'll show em."

I'll just leave this here:

Mine did it Tuesday on Q/B which is single player only so I wouldn't have thought it a server issue.... I could be wrong though!

The most powerful console in the world! Plays games at 30fps, pathetic.

Comments like these are just pathetic. Console games can run at 30 or 60. It's up to the developer's to decide what they want..more fps or higher fidelity. You can also force a top end pc to run at 30fps if you crank things up enough so not sure what your point is.

I have a B6 and currently have YCC 422 left unticked, some have said to leave it like this unless you have issues with HDR, it also says something in the description on that video settings screen that enable if you have issues with HDR I think.

Maybe I will test it later with it on.

Sony do usually make quality hardware. The PS4 was ok, except that the launch model PS4 had an inefficient cooling system that meant it overheated and got noisy after a while.

The Pro was just an uninspired double decker design that made the noise situation even worse.

Fact of the matter is the the 1S (and the 1X to an even larger extent) are far more effectively designed.

I have not mentioned games or whether or not it offers a good gaming experience. Simply that the Pro is not up to Sony's usual standard of design. Whereas the 1X is the absolute pinnacle of console design.

I have to agree, owning both I much prefer the design and compactness of the Xbox X, side by side the pro looks ugly and huge, I did not particularly like the standard PS4 design either.
Hopefully the next console from Playstation will be completely different.

Take no notice he is just trying to stir things up... he is probably posting the same comment in different forums.
