Cheap Chinese Android headunits

I have a broken one you can have - only 6 months old and a load of rubbish.

Got a 7.1 Pumpkin one now with Wifi - that is good - just park near window by router - Just ordered a OBD11 with Wifi but its now over due. - Even with this one the Sat nav card wouldn't load so stuck with Here wego - wanted onboard sat nav so mrs could use it.

what model is this rubbish one you are talking about?

Has anyone tried Xtrons HU before? Looking at fittting one in my 08 swift is it worth the £180?
send a link to it, they all differ in spec.

what you want is

at least 2gb ram
the latest android you can get
higher res screen, at least 720p
better cpu
ideally no touch controls.

This one - neighbour has same one and his has played up - mine had sat nav card seize up- needed to put it in PC and do a check on it- then it worked - I lost all USB facility so no music other than rubbish sounding radio - Last problem I thought was radio was battery draining but it was my battery on way out.

This is probably same radio as fits all except it has a Ford front on it - My Pumkin looks very similar but I paid £320 for it - twice the price - Happy with Pumpkin though.

The old adage you get what you pay for. usually

suggest you get a double din facia and a normal double din android unit that:) way you will have MUCH more choice. It won't look as "Factory" but will be better functionality wise.
thanks for the advice think I might just go old school and pick up a Kenwood JVC or pioneer or alpine head unit

since I value the quality of sound the most and I've already been told to go for one with a 13 band EQ

probably settle for a single din even so I gain an extra pocket for storage

and I can probs opt for a DAB radio model too just going to see which one will allow me to still be able to use the steering wheel controls too

A bit late to this party but I can offer some positive feedback. I have one of these Chinese units (Manufacturer unknown) supplied by these people, based in North Wales I believe.

I chose the OEM style F03066F, 7 inch Android for my 2007 Focus Ghia and they are excellent, plug fully compatible with the cars wiring, perfect fit and looks the business, awesome sound on the Radio and CD player.
Bluetooth hands free works like a charm with my Samsung phone. Came loaded with iGo maps and the whole Nav function is excellent. The Torque App with OBD2 came in handy to trace an engine idling fault, bought the
Bluetooth adapter for £5 from ATD, paired no problem, found some fault codes, bought the £10 part, bish bosh job done, car now runs great. Did a long trip last week and my old buzzard enjoyed watching Life
of Brian DVD, kept her quiet ! Browser works great when connected to a hotspot. Too many features on these, most you will never use. One complaint is they are quirky to set up and mine came with a woefully
hopeless user manual. I occasionally do loose my radio pre-sets but no big deal just mildly annoying, probably a weak signal in my area. A nice little feature is that you can choose the car makers logo as the boot
screen so it looks OEM, nice ! ATD Customer service is excellent, just spot on, I had some issues setting it up but a few emails to ATD walked me through it, once set up, no problem and so easy to use once you
get used to it. Highly recommend them. I paid £250 for mine + free delivery in July last year.

I am seriously tempted to get one of these. I can't find your model though but the FO3709F seems to be the latest 7.1 android version.

Looking for a decent double din android head unit . I tried a Joying one but the manual buttons did not work. I have just had a refund so looking for something reliable. The parts of the joying that did work were good, speed, screen sound ect.
Can anyone recommend something? All the good make ones seem so limited in function.
