Indeed, let the local migrants wash it for a fiver instead.

Not that they'd do a better job than a machine. how many hundreds of cars per day do those same towels see through and how many times do they replace them with fresh towels or at least propelry wash them before the next car?

Grim!

I'd rather wash it myself and not end up with all the wax being stripped and swirl marks installed everywhere :D

the Jazz never gets washed this time of the rear, total waste of time................ but i have noticed that the Vax power wash blasts the polish off and misses out areas too ! ........... so i'm reverting to the garden hose

Surely you're in control of the pressure washer so you can control how close you get to avoid stripping wax?
(I assume you mean wax as Polish is usually used to bring back the sheen of top lacquer coat as far as I understand and wax is used to seal in all the goodness)
Also you control where you point the thing so blaming a power washer is a bit rich?
Also how is a garden hose any better?

They get one new sponge and towel a week :P

He's a bit.... Erm.... "Different" this Mal X chap :p

Saw a dude today as I was driving out with his Vantage in a Shell drive through car wash, I think I vomited a little. (sorry no pic was well past him). Some people boggle my brain :(

I wish the automatic touchless car washes that other countries seem to get were installed over here. There are a few dotted about but hardly any...personally I've never seen one. I'd definitely use a touchless wash during winter if we had one relatively close.

I tried the brushless carwash at a Shell a couple of years ago, it was awful. I could have done a better job with a broken pressure washer.

But that means machines would take their jerbs.

But yea...I'd use one of those too. But I bet you would still have dirt in some places (e.g. tucked under the wheel arches), you can't get it totally clean with a touchless wash.

Even if it meant just taking it home after and doing the finishing touches I'd be happy. Then going over with a detailer or some sort of waterless wash for any water marks.

Would save so much time.

See loads of these driving about, usually at 80+, mostly in this state of repair. Needless to say, VOSA isn’t a thing here

I shouldn’t criticise them really, this guy was doing his bit for the environment as he’d fitted a DPF!
