I have a brand new unregged SH2AC, anyone can have it for the postage.

I am a tester but ended up with 2 for some reason, I binned all other HUB's last week.

Could be lower but 300Mb/s or more need be SH2AC due to channel bonding method VM use to still get full speed AFAIR

They won't authorise it on anyone else account now it's been registered to yours (you may not have activated it, but it's still be regged to your account). They also don't have any config files for above 200mbit, so you can't get the 300mbit speed. There was one guy on the VM forum who moved mountains to get it done via the CEOs office, and the system automatically deactivated it a few days later. They just want everyone on the SH3 because it makes their life easier as the modem can bond more channels and autotunes itself for better power levels.

I just stated its brand new and unregged.

I bought a used a Moto Surfboard SB5101e of ebay years ago after my SB4100 died as the one they gave me was some horizontal blue POS.

Called up and got it activated no issue.

I would rather a gamer who wants better pings get use of it then me breaking and binning it like the others.

As a tester its is not logged to my account, why make things harder than they are.

Someone can have it effectively free.

1 week from now its going in bin so if anyone want it give me a shout.

If that was the case it would not need activated, scaremongering on VM forum no doubt.

Your hardware from TV box to Modem/Hub can be taken to any other customers home and used without issue, they do not see it has been moved or kill it but it is tied to your account so package/speed tier no matter what they have.

There's some serious talk of a proper TCP/UDP data packet fix from Intel going to the modem maker very soon

Nope. They don't have any more stock, and the system is set up to order you a SH3 no matter what. You just have to tough it out until a fix arrives (maybe possible if recent talk is to be believed) or a SH4 arrives.

I wouldn't hold my breath. It will take months before vm roll it out. Its took well over a year for it to even get reconised.

Cool, thanks for confirming.

A friend who is with them already organised something for me, i got a call from the 'mates rates' team.
£75 for VIP bundle, 2 boxes, 350mb VIVID.

Once I am signed up and happy with it, I will refer you if you like.

That sounds awesome..thanks!

Even just browsing, my FTTC connection felt far snappier than my old VM connection, so combined with the SH3 issues I would stay with FTTC if you have decent bandwidth. I also remember sat trying to watch a YouTube video and it couldn't even stream in full HD, yet Speedtests showed the 150Mbit or whatever I was on. I'd only go to VM now if I had no choice, ie stuck on ADSL etc.

This sounds worrying....as I am considering moving away from my 55/10 ADSL connection. I guess there is always the cooling off period!

Be weary of the cooling of period. Can you get higher than 55? If so it may be a better option for quality of connection even though the headline figures aren't there. It's only about once a month where I think I could do with 150+.

Well the line is only good for 44/12 (on Sky fibre max) but BT have managed to get me synced at 55/10. Might just go with the 100/10 on VM then!

I know it's area dependent (I'm in London) but I've had zero problems with VM. No youtube issues or anything and it's all rather snappy. I came from BT 80/20. It's been about 3 months and I'm happy so far, my neighbour has been with them since he moved in 10+ years ago and no probs at all besides his router popping after a storm (no idea how).

Can you expand on what you meant by being weary of the cooling of period please?

Sorry don’t mean to hurry you, but any idea how soon you might be able to do this please? If not, I might just go with the full house bundle with 300/20.
