If I lie in bed to watch TV I fall asleep

Not so much now but I used to get sleep paralysis and other weird falling asleep problems if I didn't have the TV on

Wife and I watch TV every night. Kinda like our thing to go through a series. Currently on Power which is interesting. Helps that I have a 42inch telly stuck at the end of the bed. Combined with a chromecast, netflix and plex we have all the content we will ever need!

We have a TV in the bedroom that we sometimes watch Youtube on before bed or sometimes we will watch some of a series on Netflix on it, we don't watch films as we save them for the better TV in the lounge. I'd say we use it maybe 2 times a week on average.

I'm an odd one in that I watch TV in bed every night and have a set off timer on my TV so it turns off automatically at midnight. I also find it difficult to go to sleep without the TV on (hence the timer), I usually stick on a movie or TV episode I have seen before (currently it is an episode of Stargate) but am interested in watching because if it is something I haven't seen and want to see I try and pay too much attention and if it is something I do not want to see or hear that just annoys me. Have been this way for as long as I can remember.

So basically a completely dark and silent room makes it harder for me to fall asleep!!

I did try music at one point but it just wasn't the same.
I'm exactly the same. Sometimes watch a show in bed around 10pm with the wife then stick on late night family guy/American Dad as it's easy to fall asleep too. Took a while to get her round to my way of operating, she can just fall asleep in the blink of an eye.
If I try to just go to bed in silence I end up thinking about crap and it keeps me awake.

Every night we go to bed, cuddle up and watch mainly Netflix for a couple of hours. If it's not Netflix it's catching up on the shows we recorded on Sky through the week.

Very surprised how many people have voted that they don't have a TV in their bedroom at all - I can't imagine not having a TV in my bedroom :p

I dont watch anything on a TV, i use my PC monitor.

And for TV shows in bed, or youtube, i use my phone, which is held up by a bracket flexible arm thing.

I usually watch about 30-40 minutes of TV in bed before I doze off, watching nonsense like Building Alaska or Cabins in the Wild often helps to clear my mind.

Not had a TV in a bedroom since i lived with my parents.

Now it seems a really weird concept as to me bedrooms are for sleeping and the living room is for watching TV.

I can't imagine having a TV in any other room than the living room but then I'm not addicted to the television like so many people seem to be. I really don't watch much at all, there are far too many other things to do in life. My time is far better spent than sitting in front of a telly.

Like posting on OCUK? :D

I watch tv in bed, usually set it on itv2 for family guy and set a timer for 90 minutes then watch until i fall asleep.

If no family guy on until later i find an old film to watch.

I don't have TV reception - I just have an HTPC, which is downstairs.
Maybe if I had a spare PC I might set it up, but I'm not going to buy one for the bedroom.
