**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

I think I'd be tempted to ask for your handset back then just take it to CPW.
Once they then inform you of the wait, lack of spares etc, you'll be able to push them further as they'll be the ones who have the phone regardless if they then send it to Huawei themselves.

If it was purchased SIM free, I'd also be thinking about contacting the credit card company (if that is how it was purchased of course).

Either way, a pretty poor situation.

Mine is now technically out of warranty. Sent it in 3 weeks back which was 1 week before warranty expired so I won't even bother with cpw. Will just keep hounding them.

CPW are saying it's got nothing to do with them now as it's over 28 days from purchase date. Which is complete bull of course.

I'm going back in tomorrow morning with a printed out consumer rights act to prove it's up to them to sort it.

Wasn't done on a credit card unfortunately - I don't have one that would cover such a large purchase

I am gonna call up again tomorrow. Just got a pixel xl2 so want this one back to sell or ideally get a new one and or like for like and sort my old man out. Shocking they don't have stock of own product.

The battery life on my new 6P running Oreo is brilliant! I'm not a heavy user by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm getting around 2.5 days between charging, with around 3 hrs sot. Will be interesting to see what my new pixel 2 XL will be like for battery life when UK mail finally decide to deliver it!

Anyone heard any updates yet? Huawei are useless at this point, just keep being told it will take time, which isn't good enough. Paired with the fact my XL 2 has been delayed, I'm getting pretty restless.

Still haven't heard anything at all about mine. Not overly fussed though at the moment as I have a Pixel 1, although I want my big screen back asap!

So I called them today as they had had my old one for 4 weeks. They offered me a brand new p9 in gold. I took this to end the saga. I will give to old man for Xmas or sell and get him something else.

Seems like a good deal as my 6p was beat up bad to be fair

They should be replacing it with a Mate 9. I've been in contact with the head of customer services about my device and was offered a mate 9 in champagne gold, but EU charger so I said no. They offered me a P10 Plus instead but I'd have to wait for it

I am happy with whatever. I have a pixel 2 XL and my wife has my old pixel XL. Anything I get will sell or be a nice gift more so than my old 6p which is now out of warranty and beaten up bad.

Was a great phone though

Apparently they don't have any P 10 Plus in the UK right now... Apparently

There wasn't anything I could do :(

I know you'd said you were going to state the Consumer Rights Act to CPW... How did that go?

Taken from that act...

If a repair or replacement is not possible, or the attempt at repair fails, or the first replacement also turns out to be defective, you have a further right to receive a refund of up to 100% of the price you paid, or to reject the goods for a full refund.

Other than that, I'd also consider using the Small Claims Court.

It went nowhere. They just said all they'd do is send it to Huawei, and would have the same waiting game. He said "either way you'll wait, so may as well do it yourself"

In an ideal world, I'd take them to small claims court. I have done with Sony. But I don't have the time or energy to do it at the moment.

Plus, Im due to get my XL 2 on Monday. I needed the phone for the 4 months I didn't have one.

I had to buy a second hand phone in the end as I knew it wasn't going anywhere.

That's why I took the p9 i just wanted the saga to end. They had it for a month for a bootloop which I would imagine is software ?

I CBA to fight for anything more.
