Lol no fish fingers as a method of execution, seeing as platinum87 is quite fond of fish fingers ;).
 
It's in the news today, and will no doubt be followed up with TV programmes that go in to the detail of his life.
I don't see why hide 'em away behind bars, then continue to remember them!

That's not going to go away as people are fascinated by characters like this, bring it up in conversation and some people are almost gleeful in discussion.
 
I used to listen to his music. I have it on a playlist mixed in with some Janis Joplin and similar. I put it in there just to see if anyone recognized it and freaked out. It's very catchy in a mellow Sixties sort of way but the lyrics are terrifying.

I think there's more to it than that, knowing how charasmatic or manipulative they were does very little for the average Joe, I think some people are just fascinated by individuals who live a life on the complete opposite end of the spectrum to one society wants from us, it's so far removed from normal that characters like this are almost mythical to them.

What's the deal with serial killers seemingly always having quite a following of women, I mean some of them get married behind bars or have hordes of women wanting to keep in touch. There's bad boys then there's these guys at the top of the bad boy pyramid.

Ted Bundy is another person whose thinking was absolutely alien to the rest of the human race. Just reading about what he said and how he reacted to being questioned in custody gives me chills.

oh com on, you ought to think about things in context before just regurgitating some canned argument/fact

even if were were to accept that fact as true in general cases it still doesn't seem to be very applicable here if, as the other poster suggested, he was about to be executed then the state changing it's laws prevented that

killing him several decades ago if that law had only been applied some months later than it did would quite clearly be cheaper than keeping him in prison until 2017
