Leather Jackets??

As title, does the right one look good? Or is it a case of on 90% of people they look like mid life crisis/trying too hard?

Really like the look of some of the Soul Revolver cafe racer style ones, e.g. Starkiller, Hybrid, Origins, etc. but not sure if I'd just look like a **** (more than usual :p)

Opinions? Yes I realise this is very much a case of ttiuwiop, but that's unlikely to happen I'm afraid :p

Also anywhere else with decent quality worth looking at?
I have two soul revolver jackets and love them. One is a brown cafe racer and the other a grey evolver (essentially a cafe racer without the zips). They are lovely jackets and I would buy them again. But I wouldn't personally get one of the Starkiller, Hybrid, Origins jackets. The true cafe racer style is quite plain, slim and classic (worn in the 50's/60's by motorcyclists racing between cafes). The others are trying too hard.

You mean this site?

A few I like the look of on there, what's the quality like as they are quite a bit cheaper than some other places

Yeah thats is the one - so far I'm impressed especially for the money - I've only had it 2-3 months so can't comment on long term durability - looks as good as the product images, neatly made (all the stitching and design, etc.) and a comfortable and smart looking lining.

I bought via Amazon not direct though.

Pretty much anyone can wear a plain leather jacket and it will look decent.

A jacket like Brad Pitt's in fight club is a little more difficult to pull off.

Or basically any non patterned black one, especially if it’s a little long or big. You just look like a goth (at best).

Like any piece of clothing, different people suit different jackets (leather or otherwise). I have one from soul revolver, it's a biker style one but in dark brown. Usually the ones that look odd are the ones with extra long arms that just don't seem like they're the right size. Places like Soul Revolver also ask for your measurements so they can be sure it's going to be a good fit since they are made to order. They're not cheap, but you get something that's unique and high quality in the process.

I used to rock my big baggy leather jacket in the 90s! Then a couple years ago was out on a date in London and popped into harrods as never been before, saw a really decent tight brown Hugo boss one and realised I hadn't worn one in ages so decided to get it.

Love it, although I think you need a certain frame and style to pull them off, tall and fit, and all other clothes must be smart/fresh. Only wear it in the summer but my favourite jacket.

Compared to some of the utter ***** that gets posted in the so-called 'fashion' thread, leather jackets are far from the worst item of clothing one can wear.

I did the whole full length goth thing in my misspent youth, and that's definitely not the look I'm going for now lol!

I'm tall and relatively broad shouldered, wouldn't say "fit" as such - not fat, but I so have a slight belly on occasion.

Only acceptable if you're riding a motorcycle.

Does an old Honda Civic count?

I have...4, I think. 2 here and 2 in the UK (though I only get to wear them for about 6 weeks a year here :p)

*shrug* never really thought of them as anything other than jackets.

I'm still wearing the black biker jacket I bought in the early 90s - it actually fits me better now than it did then, with me having filled out a bit since my late teens. Really couldn't give a stuff if somebody thinks still wearing it at the age of 48 looks a bit 'mid-life crisis' - it suits my general style (whatever the hell that is - still trying to figure it out myself :p) and not only that, I'm stubborn enough to wear whatever the hell I want in any case ...
